METHODE STATEMENT FOR

PREPARATION OF THE FILLING OIL FOR

12” EXPORT LINE

PHASE 1.: PREPARATION

1.1 EPF PREPARATION STEPS:
The below steps will ensure the installation of 12” spade and 12” temporary spool for crude oil
pumping.
1. Make sure that the SDV-0001 and the valve-002E in close position.
2. Dismantle gradually the blind flanges for 12” tie-in spool until the release of nitrogen.
3. Remove the 12” blind flange and assemble the 12” temporary spool instead. (The NOO
operation team will verify and furnish fitting)
4. Dismantle gradually the flanges before the valve EPF-002E until the release of nitrogen.
5. Installed 12” spade downstream of Valve EPF-002E.
6. Release the nitrogen toward the 12 temporary spool for 4” pumping line until check valve
by opening of SDV-0001 valve.
1.2 BVS PREPARATION STEPS:
1- Make sure that the bypass line is isolated from the main line by closing the related
valves.
2- Make sure that the SDV-0020 in open position.
1.3 OTS PREPARATION STEPS:
1- Make sure that the valves SDV-0010, OTI-001A, and the first & second 12” valves in the
tie-in line are in a closed position.
2- Dismantle gradually the flanges after the first valve 12” in tie-in spool until the release of
nitrogen.
3- Installed 12” spade upstream of the first valve 12” in tie-in line.
4- Remove the PG-0003 for use this point as vent point during the filling operation.
5- Remove the blind flanges for the first 2” drain valve after the SDV-0010.
6- Connect the temporary reducer flange at the 2" drain point to the vacuum truck hose or to
the plastic tank m³ if the last is not available. (The NOO operation team will verify and
furnish fitting)
7- Make sure that the 2” drain valve in close position.
8- Make sure that the SDV-0010 valve in open position.
PHASE 2.: FILLING CRUDE OIL OPERATION

1- Start the crude oil filling gradually

2- Open gradually the vent and drain valves in OTS to chase the nitrogen.
3- When the crude oil start coming to the end of line close the vent valve.
4- Open and close the drain valve until make sure that the line is fully filled.
5- Stop the crude oil pumping from EPF.
6- Desegregate the isolation of the bypass line in BVS by opening of related valves.
7- Reinstate the vent and drain point as per PI&D and make sure to perform the house
keeping of the work area.

NOTE.:
• The 12 “temporary spool for oil filling will not be remove until performed the first oil in
and the EPF facility will be completed. (Provided and NOO responsibility)
• The vacuum truck or the plastic tank 1m³ and fittings for drain connection under NOO
responsibility.
• After finishing filling the line confirm the good practice of LOTO Procedure.
