under the anthropological foundations of education, the divisions of anthropology, culture and
components of culture such as language and writing, religion, and cultural values.
Legal: It is important to know the legal basis of education as a teacher because it serves as our
direction in terms of teaching and how to address and meet with our pupils. It is also important to
know the educational laws for us to know what are the rights, privileges, duties and
responsibilities as a teacher in the industry of education. It also helps us to know what are the
things we must consider especially in doing things that are related in education, to know also
what are the restriction of a teacher with her pupils.
Philosophy is a system of beliefs about reality. It is integrated view of the world. It includes an
understanding of the nature of existence, humankind, and its role in the world. Philosophy is the
foundation of knowledge. It provides premises by which man can discover truth, and uses his
mind to support his life. In conclusion we can say that philosophy is a critical examination of
reality characterized by rational inquiry that aims at the Truth for the sake of attaining wisdom.
Psychology is one of the basis of Education. Because psychology deals with human behavior, of
how a person acts and reacts under different situations, consciously or unconsciously, mentally,
physiologically, physically, overtly, or covertly. Education depends deeply upon psychology
because the kind and amount of education that the learner acquires in conditioned by his
psychological traits such as general mental ability, aptitudes, temperament, interest, effort-
making capacity, physical condition, etc. It was said that the principles of education are
principally based upon the facts and principles of psychology.
Culture is unique property of man. It is one of the distinguishing traits of human society. Culture
does not exist at the sub-human level. Only man is born and brought in a cultural environment.
Other animals live in a natural environment. Every man is born into a society is the same as
saying that every man is born into a culture. The dictum Man is a social animal may thus be
redefined as man is a cultural being. Every man can be regarded as a representative of his
culture. Culture is the unique quality of man which separates him from the lower animals.
