PERFECT RHYMES
Perfect rhyme means that both the ending
consonants (if any) and stressed vowel sounds of
two words match exactly.
EX: WELL, SELL
IMPERFECT RHYME/SLANT

EYE RHYME
An eye rhyme, also called a visual rhyme or a
sight rhyme, is a rhyme in which two words are
spelled similarly but pronounced differently.

A feminine rhyme is a rhyme that
contains a stressed syllable followed by one or
more unstressed syllables.

SONNET
The sonnet is a popular classical form that has
compelled poets for centuries. Traditionally, the
sonnet is a fourteen-line poem written in iambic
pentameter, employing one of several rhyme
schemes, and adhering to a tightly structured
thematic organization.
HAIKU
The haiku is a Japanese poetic form that
consists of three lines, with five syllables in the
first line, seven in the second, and five in the
third.
BALLAD
A ballad is a type of poem that tells a story and
was traditionally set to music. English language
ballads are typically composed of four-line
stanzas that follow an ABCB rhyme scheme.
