Attraction 1Blue Swallow Motel

The Blue Swallow Motel is a remarkable piece of Route 66


history, listed in the National Register history. Located at 815
East Route 66 Blvd. The first thing that strikes you is the neon
sign shaped like a blue swallow, who symbolized safe
homecoming to sailors. Build by a carpenter named WA
Huggins just before World War II and he opened its doors in
1942 directed by Ted Jones. Then the Motel passed to the
Redman couple who modernized it, Mrs. Redman became a part
of Route 66's heritage; she once said: "I end up traveling the
highway in my heart with whoever stops here for the
night."Finally, the Motel was sold and is still open today.

Attraction 2 Station-service Whiting Brothers


Near to Sunset Motel you can see a vintage gas station.
founded by 4 Whiting brothers (Arthur, Earnest, Eddie and
Ralph) in 1926. In the Southwest, which stretched along Route
66 from Shamrock, Texas to Lenwood, California. In all, they
owned more than 100 stations, including 32 along Route 66.
Today, you can see the ruins of some of them, but one station
remains open and operational: Moriarty in New Mexico. which
was number 72, first opened in 1954 and closed in 1980, before
being bought by an employee who had worked there since 1965
and renamed the Sal & Inez service station. The employee kept
the old sign and had it restored in 2014.

Attraction 3: Kimo theater

On the NE corner of Central and 5th at 423 Central Ave.


NW, Albuquerque, NM. You can see an amazing theater mixing
Pueblo and Art Deco-style theater that opened in 1927.The
name "Kimo", in local Pueblo Isleta language, means "King of
its kind “.Urban legend has it that the ghost of a six-year-old
boy haunts the theater; he was killed when a radiator exploded
in the lobby in 1951.The theater closed in 1968 and fell into
disrepair, but was restored in the 1990s and now offers shows
and films.

hello last year I had the chance to live an unforgettable


adventure traveling along the legendary Route 66 through the
state of New Mexico where I discovered magnificent
landscapes and a culture full of history. Today I'm going to tell
you about the 3 attraction I liked best.

Conclusion:

This trip was a great experience for me, allowing me to


discover a new culture and understand that Route 66 is more
than just a road, it's an incredible American adventure.
