This Quick Reference Guide is a summary of basic vehicle operations. It
contains brief description of fundamental operations so you can locate and
use the vehicle’s main equipment quickly and easily.
The Quick Reference Guide is not intended as a substitute for the vehicle
Owner’s Manual.

These functions designed to automatically lock or unlock all doors depending on the vehicle’s
situations.

Pull up the opener and open the fuel filler door. During filling, place the cap on the hanger.

AUTO HIGH BEAM (AHB)


AHB helps to switch the headlights automatically into high beam or low beam depending on the
surroundings brightness. (e.g. lights from street lamps, preceding vehicle or opposite directions
vehicles.)

To activate, make sure to :


1 Switch ‘ON’ the engine switch.
2 Set lever to original position.
3 Set light switch to (type 1), or
AUTO (type 2).
4 Turn ‘ON’ AHB switch.
5 Do not set front wiper to high speed
operation.

Automatic high beam condition : Automatic low beam condition :


QVehicle speed : 30 km/h or more. QVehicle speed : 20 km/h or less.
QVehicle’s front area : Dark. QVehicle’s front area : Bright.
QNo vehicle is coming in opposite direction. QThere is vehicle coming in opposite direction.

ADVANCED SAFETY ASSIST (ASA)
ASA is a system designed to support the driver’s awareness, decision making and vehicle
operation contributing to a safe driving experience.

i) A stereo camera mounted in front of the inside rear view mirror which detect vehicle up to
about 70 m (pedestrian up to 45 m) in front.
ii) The stereo camera will not operate properly if the wind shield view in front of the camera is
obstructed by something, dirt, foggy, sticker etc.

ASA OFF SWITCH

A.S.A OFF indicator light

Press and hold more than 2 seconds


to turn on/off A.S.A function

ASA OFF indicator light will illuminate at the meter panel. Every time you start the engine by the
engine switch operation, ASA function will return to ready state.

PRE-COLLISION WARNING
Alert the driver when the stereo camera recognizes the high collision risk during day and night.

Q When the system determines if there is a risk


of collision, it will alerted and urged the driver

obstacles are :
4-120 km/h (vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles)

PRE-COLLISION BRAKING
Control the brakes to assist in avoiding collision as well as contributing in mitigating collision
damage during day and night.

Q If the system recognizes the front obstacles and


determines that there is a high collision risk, it will
change buzzer and control brakes.
Pipipipipi... Q This function operates when the vehicle speed and
speed difference between the front obstacles are :
4-120 km/h (vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles).
4-60 km/h (pedestrian).
Q If the brake pedal is depressed under following
conditions, it helps to decelerate with more braking
force than normal :
30-120 km/h (vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles).
30-60 km/h (pedestrian).

Q Continuously press the brake pedal to continue stop the vehicle because the vehicle will
slowly start moving after 1.5 seconds.
Q The operation cancelled if it determines low collision risk made by the driver such as pressing
the brake pedal or operating the steering wheel.

PEDAL MISOPERATION CONTROL
This function assist driver in avoiding collision by controlling engine output when the driver accidently
press the accelerator pedal.

The systems activates by following conditions :

QStereo camera recognizes obstacle 4 m ahead.


QPressing wrong pedal while driving slowly
approximately 10 km/h or slower.

If the accelerator is pressed accidentally at approximately 4 km/h or less, the driver will be alerted
by the buzzer and display.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW)


Alert the driver when there is a risk of the driver unintentionally depart from the vehicle lane.

QEngine switch is ‘ON’.
QVehicle speed : 60 km/h or more.
QLane Departure Warning OFF indicator is off.

QVehicle lane width approximately 2.5 to 4.2 m.

LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION (LDP)
Provides small steering force to the steering wheel to avoid the vehicle departing from the vehicle
lane by alerts using buzzer and display.

The system activates by following conditions :

QEngine switch is ‘ON’.


QVehicle speed : 60 km/h or more.
QLane departure warning OFF indicator is off.
QTurn signal indicator off for 1 second after the
turn signal indicator is turned off.
QVehicle lane width approximately 3 to 4 m.

FRONT DEPARTURE ALERT


Alerts the driver when the vehicle in front has moved.

keep stopping although the preceding
vehicle has already moved forward more
than about 3 meter away.

Shift position is other than H & I and distance between the stopped preceding vehicle and own
vehicles is within about 10 meter.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC)*
This system consist of two modes :
QDistance control mode : Detect the presence of front vehicle (by stereo camera) and automatically
accelerates or decelerates based on the speed change by the front vehicle.
QConstant speed control mode : Allow driver to drive at constant speed set by the driver.

DISTANCE CONTROL MODE

1 Constant speed driving (no vehicle in front).


2 Decelerated driving-cruise control driving (front vehicle slower than set speed).
3 Accelerated driving (slower speed front vehicle no longer in front).

Setting the set speed (Distance control mode)

1 Press ACC main switch (the display will be displayed as ‘_ _ km/h’).


2 Accelerate/decelerate using accelerator to the desired speed (30 km/h or higher).
3 Press ‘(SET’ switch.
Changing the set speed (Distance control mode)

1 1 Increase speed.

CONSTANT SPEED CONTROL MODE
This mode allow vehicle moves at a constant speed set by driver without matching the changes
in speed made by the vehicle in front.

Setting the speed (Constant speed control mode)

1 Press and hold ACC main switch for 2 seconds or longer (the display will displayed as ‘_ _ km/h’).
2 Accelerate/decelerate using accelerator to desire speed (30 km/h or higher).

LANE KEEP CONTROL (LKC)*
This system assist the driver’s steering operation to ensure the vehicle drives in the current lane
by recognizing the white or yellow lines on the left or right of the vehicle using the stereo camera.
The LKC does not operate when the ACC is not active.

The driver is informed on LKC operation by the indicator in meter and display. The system activates
by following conditions.
Q Vehicle speed : 60 km/h or more.
Q ACC (distance control mode) : 60 km/h or more
Q ACC (set speed) : 60 km/h or more
Q LKC indicator : Lights up

IDLING STOP SYSTEM (eco IDLE)
The ‘eco IDLE’ is a system that stop and restart the engine with
the brake pedal without using the engine switch while the vehicle
stops at a red traffic light or an intersection.

fulfilled during driving, the ‘eco IDLE’ ready
indicator turns on in green (standby state).
