Introduction
I have made this birthday cake for my son's 1-st birthday. With my best friend (photographer), we
wanted to make him a wonderful 1-st birthday photo session and what would be a greater photo
prop for this session than the yummy cake, which he can chew on without getting dirty or burned
with a candle :) later on we decided to make an extra accessory party hat in the same color scheme.
This PDF contains a free pattern for birthday hat and bowtie. Please remember this was made for a 1
year old :) the hat is smaller than the regular party hat.

Please visit my etsy shop for the birthday cake and other great patterns:

We have all the parts we need now. Let's sew them

together.

Firstly let's sew the dripping chocolate in place on the

hat where the brown and white meet.

I would sew the beginning and the end of the dripping

chocolate part first to spread it out evenly.

Sew it firmly.

Sew the berry on top of the hat.

Cut your ribbon in half. Sew one half of it to the hat
around the row we made back loops. Sew it very very
firmly and when you think you are done sew it one
more time :) Talking from experience with kids and
photo sessions.

Sew the other half of the ribbon on the opposite site.

Congratulations! Birthday set is ready to party! :)
