Western Ghats or The Sahyadris
पिश्चमी घाट या सह्या द्रि
● It runs from the Tapi valley to a little north of
Kanyakumari for a distance of 1,600 km.
● The range is called Sahyadri in northern
Maharashtra and Sahya Parvatham in Kerala.
● The central part of the hills is called Kanara and the
southern part is called Malabar region or the
Malabar Coast.
● It is a block mountain.
● It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site.
● यह तापी घाटी से कन्याकुमारी के थोड़ा उत्तर तक
1,600 कमी की दूरी तक फैली है ।
