Sub: - Education-Technical- Directorate of Technical Education,

Thiruvananthapuram- Extend the period of Guest Faculty
in Government Engineering Colleges till the end of July 2024 - Regarding

Ref:- Letter No. KTU/ASST3(ACADEMIC) /5074/2023 dated 31.05.2024 from the

Registrar, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

The Registrar, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in the letter read above has
informed that the classes of Even Semester under the Kerala Technological University were to end
by April 30, 2024, which had to be postponed to the first week of May 2024 on account of loss of
classes due to the Lok Sabha Elections and the heat wave .There are Academic activities that
remain to be completed including submission of attendance and internal marks and conduct of lab
examinations, invigilation duty, and valuation camp in the month of May, June and Mid of July
2024. This has necessitated the service of all Guest faculty appointed against the sanctioned post
till 15th of July 2024.

In these circumstances stated above the Heads of all Government Engineering Colleges and Aided
Engineering are hereby informed that the area of necessity should be identified and may retain the
service of Guest faculty appointed against the sanctioned post in the colleges wherever necessary to
the minimum level till 15th of July 2024.
