Trong đó: Động từ to be là các từ gồm: am, is, are. Còn do/does là các trợ
động từ. He/she/it sẽ đi với động từ to be là is và trợ động từ does, còn
I/you/we/they đi với các to be là am/are và trợ động từ do.
Thì hiện tại đơn được sử dụng khi diễn tả:
Marsha goes to dance lessons every
Một sở thích, thói quen ở hiện tại

Thì hiện tại đơn được sử dụng khi có các dấu hiệu sau:
Always: Luôn luôn Sometimes: Đôi lúc
Usually: Thường xuyên Rarely: Hiếm khi
Often: Thường xuyên Never: Không bao giờ
Every Monday/Week/etc.: Mỗi thứ hai/tuần/…
Each Monday/Week/etc.
Once/Twice a week/Month/etc.: Một/Hai lần một tuần/tháng…
Three times a week/month/etc.: Ba lần một tuần/tháng …

Các trạng từ (Always, usually, …) nêu trên sẽ đứng trước động từ và đứng sau
động từ to be. Ví dụ:
I often play football with my friends.
I am often late for my piano lessons.
