A global key trend from the general environment is the Black Lives Matters. It is an

international social movement that started in the United States in the year 2013, dedicated to

fighting racism and anti-Black violence, especially in the form of police brutality. This

movement signals condemnation of the unjust killings of Black people by police and the demand

that society value the lives and humanity of Black people as much as it values the lives and

humanity of white people (Britannica, 2021). In today's world, most businesses run their

operations in a hostile environment and under intense face-offs. A blue ocean strategy that might

capitalize on that trend is if the famous Netflix would produce content with violation of rights of

people of color. This would be a large step for the company and also less competition in the

market. Netflix could also create another content with a large percentage of the casts comprising

of black people. This in return will be a continued trend in the global environment within an

already existing blue ocean strategy.
