MOVIE SCRIPT

WE START WITH OUR PROTAGONIST ARRIVING AT SCHOOL

PROTAGONIST: Okay, it's time to pass that exam. I don't know how I'll do it; I'm so nervous
and scared. I don't know how it's going to go. I hope it's not too difficult.

ANXIETY: Well... the day has come. We have possible solutions to pass that exam. First, we
could bribe the teacher to pass us, but... what if he doesn't accept and fails us? No, no, that's not
it.

FEAR: But if we don't pass that exam, we'll get scolded at home, and what are we going to do?

ANXIETY: So what we'll do is cheat on the exam. We already have our possible answers.

FEAR: But... what if we get caught?

ANXIETY: Relax, everything will be fine. We just need to wait for the right moment to cheat.

FEAR: That's one of our options because we studied all night, but we still have it as a backup.

OUR PROTAGONIST IS ABOUT TO ENTER THE CLASSROOM

FEAR: We're almost in the classroom, WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!

ANXIETY: Everything will be fine; we just need to stay calm...

ANXIETY IS INTERRUPTED BY JOY

JOY: Guys, guys, a little bit of cheer. We're going to pass that exam. We worked hard.

ANXIETY: Quiet, Joy! Let the professionals work.

HE ENTERS THE CLASSROOM BUT THE TEACHER IS NOT THERE YET

PROTAGONIST: How strange, the teacher isn't here yet, and it's almost time for the exam.

ANXIETY: Today was the exam day, right?

FEAR: Was it in this classroom? Or did we get it wrong and the teacher is in another room? And
if we are late? THEY'RE GOING TO FAIL US!!

ANXIETY: Silence anxiety slaps fear and we need to wait...

SADNESS: I just want us to pass this exam because it really makes me sad if we don't.
THE PROTAGONIST'S BEST FRIEND ARRIVES IN THE CLASSROOM

FRIEND: Hey! What's up? Here you are. I didn't think you'd fail too.

JOY: Hey, look, it's (name to be determined). We're not completely alone in the exam.

ANXIETY: WE'RE GOING TO PASS. WE CAN ASK FOR SOME ANSWERS, but we'll still
try to cheat.

PROTAGONIST: Hello! I'm glad to know I'm not the only fool who didn't pass the exam, no
offense.

FRIEND: Good thing you clarified that it's no offense because I don't know how I would take it.

PROTAGONIST: Haha, of course, I'm joking. But seriously, I'm glad you're here. That way we
can help each other.

FRIEND: Yeah, sure, that's the good thing about having friends. Hey, are you ready for the
exam?

PROTAGONIST: Ready is a very strong word. Let's say I'm... present.

ANXIETY: No, no, no, we must be prepared. We have our notes, our answers. We just need to
follow the plan.

JOY: Come on, guys, there's no need to worry so much. We studied, and we're in this together.
We're going to do well!

FRIEND: What's up with your inner voices? Are they still arguing?

PROTAGONIST: Yeah, they don't stop. But I think it's normal to have those moments of
doubt, right?

FRIEND: Totally. We all have those moments. The important thing is not to let them control us.

PROTAGONIST: You're right. Thanks for reminding me.

THE TEACHER ARRIVES IN THE CLASSROOM

TEACHER: Good morning, students. I hope you're ready for today's exam. Remember, the
most important thing is to do your best.

PROTAGONIST: (whispering) Here he comes. It's time to face it.

ANXIETY: Remember the plan. Stay calm and be alert.

FEAR: I don't want to do poorly. I don't want us to fail.

JOY: We're going to do well. Trust in ourselves.

SADNESS: I hope everything goes well. I don't want to feel bad afterward.

TEACHER: Okay, let's begin. I'm going to hand out the exam. You have one hour to complete
it. Good luck to everyone.

THE PROTAGONIST RECEIVES THE EXAM AND STARES AT IT

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) Here we go... one question at a time. I can do this.

ANXIETY: Remember, if you need help, we have our notes, and (friend's name) is here.

FEAR: Don't get nervous. Focus on each question.

JOY: You can do it, trust in yourself.

SADNESS: I just want this to end and for us to feel good about the result.

THE PROTAGONIST BEGINS ANSWERING THE EXAM WITH DETERMINATION

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) One question at a time... I can do it... I can do it...

TIME PASSES, AND THE PROTAGONIST CONTINUES ANSWERING THE EXAM

WITH FOCUS AND CALMNESS BUT THEN COMES ACROSS A QUESTION HE
DOESN'T KNOW

ANXIETY: Oh no! We don't know this question. What do we do? What do we do?

FEAR: If we get this one wrong, it could cost us the grade!

JOY: Relax, guys. If we don't know this one, let's move on to the next and come back to it later.

SADNESS: I don't want to fail, but maybe we can't answer all the questions.

THE PROTAGONIST FOLLOWS JOY'S ADVICE AND MOVES ON TO THE NEXT

QUESTION

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) Okay, let's move on to the next one. We'll come back to this later.

THE PROTAGONIST CONTINUES ANSWERING MORE QUESTIONS, GAINING

CONFIDENCE

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) This isn't so bad. I can do it.

THE BEST FRIEND GIVES HIM A DISCREET SIGNAL OFFERING HELP

FRIEND: (whispering) Need help with something?

PROTAGONIST: (whispering) Just one question. Number five. Do you have it?

THE FRIEND NODS AND DISCREETLY SHOWS HIM THE ANSWER

ANXIETY: Great! Now we have that answer. Let's move on.

FEAR: I hope we don't get caught. I don't want any trouble.

JOY: We're doing it! Let's keep going!

THE PROTAGONIST RETURNS TO THE QUESTION HE DIDN'T KNOW AND

ANSWERS IT WITH HIS FRIEND'S HELP

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) Done! Now just a few more left.

TIME PASSES, AND THE PROTAGONIST ANSWERS THE LAST QUESTIONS

TEACHER: Five minutes left. Make sure to review your answers.

ANXIETY: Five minutes. We need to review everything.

FEAR: What if we made a mistake on one?

JOY: Let's review calmly. We did a good job.

THE PROTAGONIST REVIEWS HIS ANSWERS CAREFULLY

PROTAGONIST: (thinking) Looks like everything is fine. I hope it's enough.

SADNESS: I just want this to end and know that we did well.

TEACHER: Time's up. Please hand in your exams.

THE PROTAGONIST HANDS HIS EXAM TO THE TEACHER

PROTAGONIST: (whispering) Thanks for the help, friend.

FRIEND: (smiling) That's what friends are for. Good luck.

THE PROTAGONIST AND HIS FRIEND LEAVE THE CLASSROOM, BREATHING A

SIGH OF RELIEF
PROTAGONIST: (thinking) We did it. Now we just have to wait for the results.

ANXIETY: I hope we passed. I don't want to do this again.

FEAR: I just want everything to be okay.

JOY: Trust in us. We did our best.

SADNESS: I just want everything to go well and not be sad.

THE PROTAGONIST AND HIS FRIEND WALK AWAY, WITH A MIX OF NERVES
AND HOPE
