TEXT: Advertising today in the world.

Advertising is a commercial activity that aimed at persuading people to buy a product

or service, or even to adopt a point of view. So advertisers are not only producers or retailers,
but also charities, governments and even politicians –contrary to what one might think it is by
no means a modern phenomenon, although we live in the area of advertising and it plays a
major role in today’s economic life.

This sector of activity has become big business as it plays an important part in
merchandising .It has become so sophisticated, and the stakes are so high, most of them,
nowadays is handled by advertising agencies. Advertising agencies design advertising
campaigns and buy time or space in the mass media to produce ads in the press.
