VONR Signalling Process – Terminal Side

1. Preset conditions:

(1) Caller A and called B are set to SA mode, and the voice center is turned on.

(2) The base station turns on the VONR switch

2. Test steps: (1) Mobile phone AB is connected to the NR network, and Check terminal
capability information supports VONR

(2) Mobile phone AB is connected to the NR network and successfully registered with IMS.
The mobile phone logo will display HD. (The calling signalling is shown below) Bearer
establishment 5QI=5 and 5QI=9 during registration process.

(4) VONR call establishment delay statistics mainly focus on the connection delay, that
is, from the time the caller sends INVITE->Request (Message 1) to the reception of
Message 3 (Ringing 180, indicating that the other party has been notified of ringing) sent
by the network side. delay. In the actual test, it was found that after the caller receives
Ring 180, the actual ringing time of the called party will be delayed to a certain extent. The
delay time is related to the individual terminal prototypes used by the called party. The
difference is very big. The two called phones were compared in the test. The difference is
about 3 seconds. Therefore, for the off-hook delay (called delay, called off-hook, call
establishment, and off-hook as soon as possible after ringing during testing to reduce
reaction time), the calling signalling starts from sending INVITE->Request (message 1) to
the delay in receiving message 4 (OK200/ACK) sent by the network side is related to the
individual called terminals.
