Basic Working Rules for Networking Lab

 Never work alone.

At least two adults must be in the lab when networking equipment is being used.

 Never work when you are impaired.

This includes when you are too tired, stressed, or hurried to work carefully.

 If you cannot do a job safely in this lab, then don't do it.

There are limits to what we can configure or build here.

 Keep all your passwords cisco.

 Keep your hands away from sharp edges of equipment and tools.

Make sure that nothing you do will cause you or someone else harm.

 Cable Management is Crucial.

Always ensure that network cables are neatly arranged and labeled. Messy cables can lead to
accidents and are harder to troubleshoot.

 Emergency Procedures.

Know the location and how to use emergency equipment like fire extinguishers and first-aid kits.

 Report Unsafe Conditions.

Always report any unsafe conditions or practices to the lab supervisor immediately.

 Respect Electrical Safety Standards.

Never work on electrical equipment without proper training and clearance.

 No Food or Drinks.

Food and drinks should not be brought into the lab to avoid spillage and contamination.

 Cleanliness.

Keep your workspace clean and free from clutter to minimize risks.

 Follow Software Licenses and Laws.

Make sure you are in compliance with all software licenses and laws, especially when using
networking software tools.

 Internet Usage.

Do not use the lab's internet connection for non-academic or unauthorized activities.
