This is to certify that KEISHA SCARLETT-BROWN is a beneficiary of the
OYOD Incentive programme and this voucher is only redeemable to the extent
of the amount of the specified face value in the purchase of an OYOD
Own Your Own Device compliant device from an Approved OYOD Partner.

This Voucher is subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. This Voucher is only valid for redemption for purchases of OYOD compliant devices from Approved OYOD Partners.
2. This Voucher is not valid for redemption beyond the expiry date stated thereon and its validity expires automatically after the said expiry date.
3. There will be no extension of an expired Voucher.
4. This Voucher is valid only where the Voucher bears the unique Voucher number, a valid QR code and has not been previously redeemed.
5. This Voucher is non-transferable and is only redeemable:
i) by the approved applicant (i.e. a person that has submitted an application to the OYOD Incentive Programme (an applicant) whose application was granted by the
MoEYI and as a result was issued / assigned an OYOD Voucher); and
ii) upon presentation by the approved applicant of a valid government issued photo identification.
6. A person who presents an OYOD Voucher for redemption at an Approved OYOD Partner shall not be able to redeem the Voucher for purchase of an OYOD
compliant device, unless:
i) the person who presents the Voucher is the applicant to whom that Voucher was issued and assigned by the MoEYI in response to that person’s application for the
OYOD Voucher (that is, the approved applicant) and upon the presentation by the person (the approved applicant) of a valid government issued photo
identification; or
ii) the person satisfies the requirements under Clause 16 herein.
7. If the Voucher is presented for redemption in hardcopy, the Voucher is to be surrendered to the Approved OYOD Partner to effect the purchase of the OYOD
compliant device. That is, the Voucher will be collected by the Approved OYOD Partner at the point of sale at the time it is being redeemed, for the effective
completion of the sale.
8. On redemption of this Voucher, the applicant will be required to sign the Voucher to confirm its redemption. Where the Voucher presented by the applicant is
electronic, the Approved OYOD Partner will provide a printed copy which the applicant shall be required to sign on redemption. An applicant will not be able to
complete the purchase of an OYOD compliant device using this Voucher until the applicant surrenders (where the Voucher is physical) and signs the Voucher or the
provided copy (where the Voucher is electronic) so as to confirm its redemption.
9. This Voucher is not refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full and this shall also apply in circumstances where the purchased OYOD compliant
device costs a sum that is less than the face value of the Voucher.
10. This Voucher is valid for a single transaction only and this applies in all circumstances whether the purchased OYOD compliant device costs a sum that is less than or
equal to the face value of the Voucher.
11. This Voucher is not legal tender and cannot be deposited in a bank account, cannot be exchanged for goods or services including the purchase of gift cards and cannot
be otherwise negotiated anywhere, except as stipulated herein for the purchase of OYOD compliant devices from Approved OYOD Partners. A list of the Approved
OYOD Partners shall be available on the following website: https://www.elearningja.gov.jm.
12. This Voucher is only valid for its intended use in the purchase of OYOD compliant devices from Approved OYOD Partners.
13. This Voucher shall only be redeemable to the extent of its face value.
14. The Vendor retains the right to reject any Voucher that has been tampered with, or found in any way to be invalid or unacceptable.
15. The MoEYI is not responsible for a Voucher that is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed and no replacement will be provided in these circumstances.
16. In the event that an approved applicant is unable to be present at the time of redemption, another person can be sent on his/her behalf. This person must have a letter of
authorization from the applicant, a copy of the applicants’ valid ID certified by a Justice of the Peace and a valid ID of himself/herself. The signature on the
applicants’ ID must match the signature on the letter of authorization.

Definitions

In this Agreement –

(i) “Approved applicant” means a person that has submitted an application to the OYOD Incentive Programme (an applicant) whose application was granted by the
MoEYI and as a result was issued / assigned an OYOD Voucher.
(ii) “Approved OYOD Partners” means the vendors / resellers whose names appear on a list of Approved OYOD Partners on the e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited
website (https://www.elearningja.gov.jm) or in any other means of official communication by e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited.
(iii) “MoEYI” means Ministry of Education, Youth and Information.
(iv) “OYOD” means Own Your Own Device.
(v) “OYOD compliant device(s)” means tablet computers and laptops that satisfy the minimum specifications for the OYOD Incentive Programme which has been
published by e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited on its website (https://www.elearningja.gov.jm) and in other official means of communication. Approved
OYOD Partners are permitted to accept the OYOD Voucher in exchange for or towards the purchase of such tablet computers and laptops under the OYOD
Incentive Programme.
(vi) “OYOD Voucher” or “Voucher” means an instrument issued by the MoEYI in electronic or print form, bearing a unique reference number and QR code and which
may be redeemed in, for or towards the purchase of OYOD compliant devices.
(vii) “Vendor” as used herein means a Vendor who is an Approved OYOD Partner.
