I/P Fuse 1 (15A)

I/P Fuse 23 (10A)

Are the fuses OK? Yes REINSTALL the fuses. GO to P2 . No REPLACE the fuse in question. TEST the system for normal operation. If I/P fuse 1 (15A) fails again, GO to P5 . If I/P fuse 23 (10A) fails again, GO to P6 . P2 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE ELECTRONIC FLASHER

Electronic Flasher

Measure the voltage between the following electronic flasher connector wires and ground: Pin 2, circuit 294 (W/LB). Pin 3, circuit 383 (R/W).

Are the voltages greater than 10 volts? Yes GO to P3. No REPAIR circuit 294 (W/LB) and/or circuit 383 (R/W). TEST the system for normal operation. P3 CHECK CIRCUIT 44 (LB)

Multi-Function Switch C258

Measure the resistance between multi-function switch C258-44, circuit 44 (LB), and the electronic flasher connector pin 1, circuit 44 (LB); and between multi-function switch C258-44, circuit 44 (LB), and ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the multi-function switch and the electronic flasher; and greater

P4 CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH Place the multi-function switch in the right turn position. Measure the resistance between multi-function switch terminal 44 and terminal 5.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? Yes REPLACE the electronic flasher. TEST the system for normal operation. No REPLACE the multi-function switch. TEST the system for normal operation. P5 CHECK CIRCUIT 383 (R/W) FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Electronic Flasher

Measure the resistance between fuse junction panel fuse 1 (15A) connector pin 1, circuit 383 (R/W), and ground.

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? Yes REPLACE the electronic flasher. TEST the system for normal operation. No REPAIR circuit 383 (R/W). TEST the system for normal operation. P6 CHECK CIRCUIT 294 (W/LB) FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Electronic Flasher

Measure the resistance between fuse junction panel fuse 23 (10A) connector pin 2, circuit 294 (W/LB), and ground.

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? Yes REPLACE the component that causes fuse 23 (10A) to fail. TEST the system for normal operation. No REPAIR circuit 294 (W/LB). TEST the system for normal operation.
