General job description:

Responsible for block based activities and the contact link between the community and Tdh , under the
line supervision of the advocacy and empowerment officer and BID Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:


 Facilitating, identification and documentation of children at risks in the block level
 Ensure the needs of individual children are promptly addressed, including medical, legal and basic
needs
 Identification and screening of children who have child protection concerns and require actions for
which a best interest decision is necessary and link them with BID/BIA national staff.
 Encourage and orgnize foster parents to participate and contribute weekly discussions with CPVs.
 Referral and follow-up for individual cases
 Ensure that undocumented children are identified and included tdh database at block level
 Conducts home visits and further follow-up in block level
 Act as a contact person for individual case management in allocated camp/sections in Refugee camp.
 Ensure that identified high risk cases at block level are presented to internal case conference.
 Strengthen and promote the protection of children at family and community levels
 Disseminate child protection messages to the community members.
 Act as contact person between Tdh and community at section level.
 Identify share and report child protection trends and emerging issues.
 Participates and mobilize Community members and children on Community advocacy and awareness
events (Monthly information forum, Radio session, Campaigns etc.).
 Compile weekly reports and share with immediate supervisor.
 Support mobilization adolescent’s boys and girls out of school and Vulnerable for life skills sessions
and resilience training.

Protection  Report serious cases of abuse on children identified by the Child Protection team to the CP
Policy Program Manager. Strict confidentiality must be respected.

1. Knowledge on computer applications, video editing graphic design and content creation.
 Minimum KCSE certificate or any other formal certificate from a recognised institution
