MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS AND
THE BASILAN STATE COLLEGE
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
This Agreement made and executed by and between:
The BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS, a government instrumentality duly organized and existing by virtue
of Republic Act No. 7653, with principal office address at the Bangko Sentral Complex, A. Mabini corner
P. Ocampo Sr. Streets, Malate 1004, Manila, duly represented by its ACTING DEPUTY DIRECTOR,
MS. PILAR T. SCHAGEN, hereinafter referred to as "BSP/';
- and -
The BASILAN STATE COLLEGE a government-owned institution with address at Sumagdang, Isabela City,
Basllan Province , duly represented by Its C~\W_________,
<S ' hereinafter referred to as "BaSC".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the BSP recognizes that access to economic and financial information is one of the key
elements in achieving the success of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion;
WHEREAS, the BSP aims, as one of its major advocacies, to enhance the public/s understanding
of the fundamental economic and financial concepts and Issues affecting the economic development of
the country;
WHEREAS, the BSP publishes books, reports. Journals and in-house magazines on economic and
financial matters and disseminates them to promote its Economic and Financial Learning Program and
greater transparency in its operations;
WHEREAS, BaSC as an academic Institution, continuously acquires information resources to meet

the research and information needs of its academic community;
WHEREAS, BaSC recognizes that it is mutually beneficial to exchange and share information
resources and services to satisfy the research information requirements of Its clientele;
WHEREAS, the BSP Knowledge Resource Network is a program assisting the public by promoting
the understanding of the essential economic and financial concepts and Issues affecting the country's
economy, through the exchange of information resources between and among its network members;
WHEREAS, as a collaborative effort, both parties recognize the benefits of participating in the BSP
Knowledge Resource Network;
WHEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereby agree as
follows;
UNDERTAKINGS OF THE BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS
1. Establish and maintain BSP Knowledge Resource Collections, a space within the library premises
of the BSP Knowledge Resource Network member with available BSP print materials such as
books, annual reports, inflation reports, statistical publications, brochures, pamphlets, posters
and other information/learning materials, as well as online materials through the BSP website;
2. Link network members' portals with the BSP website in order to access BSP's online publications
and other information resources;

3. Assist network members with their research and reference inquiries regarding economic and
financial information, particularly in the areas of economics, banking, finance and investments,
subject to existing applicable laws, regulations and internal policies of BSP;
4. Conduct briefings of designated librarians from Network member-libraries on the nature of
information resources and services available at Economic and Financial Learning Center (EFLC) of
the BSP Zamboanga Branch, including the BSP website; and
5. Conduct periodic review and evaluation of the effectiveness of the program.
UNDERTAKINGS OF THE BASILAN STATE COLLEGE
1. Provide the space, staff, furniture, shelves and IT equipment needed for display and use of BSP
publications at the designated BSP Knowledge Resource Collection;
2. Catalog all BSP publications provided and make them discoverable on their library systems and
available for use by library clients;
3. Designate a librarian that will serve as "Reference Librarian" who shall be: (i) the main contact
person of the network member with EFLC of the BSP Zamboanga Branch; (ii) available for
briefing/training on the nature of EFLC information resources and services provided; and (iii)
responsible in coordinating requests for reference and research assistance originating from the
network member that designated her.
4. Monitor usage of BSP information materials and research requests filled and submit quarterly
reports to EFLC of the BSP Zamboanga Branch, including feedback from the users, not later than
the last working day of each quarter.
This Agreement shall take effect on the date the parties have signed the same as indicated below
their signatures. If the parties signed on different dates, the date of execution of this Agreement shall be
the later date.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereto signed this MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
on the date and In the place indicated below:
