Greetings of peace and prosperity! We are writing to you today with great excitement to announce our
qualification for the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges, National Academic Competitions
(Health Innovation), taking place on May 3-5, 2024, at the Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig City,
Philippines. Our team of five dedicated first-year medical students:
1. Jeshrel G. Benting
2. Aubrey Jane F. Gador
3. Leomill O. Mendiola
4. Giniesy M. Mabayo
5. Christine B. Virtudazo
is honored to represent Liceo de Cagayan University (LDCU), College of Medicine at this prestigious
national event.
This marks a historic moment for our university, as well as the college. We achieved this honor by securing
the 2nd runner-up position for our Health Innovation Competition during the APMC regional competition.
Our project, "Project HealthSync: Wellness in Every Text," tackles the health information gap that hinders
effective healthcare delivery. Through targeted SMS messaging, we aim to empower both communities and
individuals by raising awareness of health programs, promoting healthy habits, improving medication
adherence, and providing real-time updates on vaccine and medication availability. This comprehensive
approach has the potential to significantly improve health outcomes in our communities.
