Dear Mayor Azarcon:

We are pleased to invite your designated information officer to the

forthcoming Mindanao Communicators Network (MindaComNet)
Regional Congress – Caraga Leg slated on 29-30 April 2024 in Butuan
City (exact venue will be provided once finalized).

Jointly organized by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and

Philippine Information Agency (PIA), the Congress is an offshoot of the two
agencies’ partnership and collaboration through a Memorandum of
Understanding in 08 February 2023, which aimed at reviving the
MindaComNet, a group of information and public relations officers pursuing
strategic communication exchanges and advocacy of various Mindanao
imperatives.

Apart from the insightful discussions and deeper understanding of the

Mindanao Peace and Development Agenda 2023-2028, the congress will also
serve as an avenue to tackle issues and topics of national relevance such as
the West Philippine Sea; recent updates on Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–
Malaysia–Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) cooperation;
and impacts of travel advisories on Mindanao development, among others.

These are all timely and relevant discourses that Mindanao information
officers need to strategically communicate across various platforms,
including our theme, “Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Economy (RISE):
The New Mindanao Story.”
