SCRIPT
Guide: (arrives and snatches phone): Aur ghus jao na phone mein tum?
Non-genius: (gets up) Haan haan okay.. but I’ve got nothing better to do
but be on my phone all day!
Guide: Then find something better na! You know what, I have the perfect
idea! Pick up a book!
NG: I couldn’t be bothered any less, but if you insist... I can give it a go..
Guide: Now, I’d like to call upon our host for this award ceremony to
distribute these esteemed awards. Let’s get this show started!
Harry Potter (enters): Hello there, I'm Harry Potter, the Boy Who
Lived, straight out of J.K. Rowling's wizarding world. My journey's been
a wild ride filled with magic, mischief, and more than a few close
encounters with You-Know-Who. Just your friendly neighbourhood
wizard trying not to trip over my own broomstick!
Tom: Yo, I'm Tom Gates, your go-to-guy for chill vibes and epic doodles.
When I'm not jamming to tunes or perfecting my air guitar skills, you can
bet I'm avoiding homework like it's my side hustle. And hey, if you need
a laugh, just hit me up - I can turn any situation into a meme-worthy
moment. So yeah, that's me - Tom, your friendly neighborhood comic
genius.
Host: Ladies and gentlemen, here comes Malala, the fearless education
advocate!
Malala: Hello, friends! I'm Malala Yousafzai. I believe in the power of
education to change the world. I'm on a mission to make sure every child
has the chance to learn and grow. I raise up my voice – not so that I can
shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard.
Host: Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the girl on fire, Katniss
Everdeen!
Katniss: Hi, I'm Katniss Everdeen. I've spent most of my life just trying
to survive... People around here call me a lot of things, the Girl on Fire,
the Mockingjay - but to me, I'm just Katniss, trying to make it through
another day in this messed-up world. So yeah, I'm the girl who
volunteered as tribute, mastered archery, and has a strong dislike for
televised drama...unless it involves me shooting arrows at it.
Matilda: Hey everyone, I'm Matilda! Just a little girl with big dreams and
an even bigger book collection. life's like a library for me, full of
adventures and misadventures. My hobbies include reading, more
reading, and occasionally pulling a prank or two on the grown-ups. So
let’s put mischief and magic together!
Host: With a round of applause, let's give the stage to none other than
Percy Jackson himself!
Percy: Hey, I'm Percy Jackson, and let me tell you, being a demigod is
like living on a roller coaster that never stops! One day I'm battling
monsters, the next I'm arguing with gods who really need to chill out. But
hey, at least I've got some killer sword skills and a few friends who aren't
completely crazy.
Kalam: Hello, I'm APJ Abdul Kalam, but you can call me the 'Rocket
Man with a Plan'! I'm here to bring a little laughter to the cosmos and a
whole lot of science to your world!
Host: Get ready to meet the king of middle school mishaps, the sultan of
awkward situations, and the master of diary disasters – it's none other
than Wimpy Kid!
Greg: What’s up, I'm Greg, but you can call me the Wimpy Kid. I'm just
trying to survive middle school without becoming a total disaster zone...
emphasis on the 'trying'! Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster ride through
the hilarious ups and downs of my not-so-glamorous life!
Host: Here comes Sherlock Holmes, the witty detective with keen
observation skills!
Host: Now now now, brace yourselves for the star of the show. The
maestro of numbers and the light of our lives, Give it up for Dr. RD
Sharma!
RD: Hello bacho! Bet you didn’t expect to see me here... Equations
dance in my dreams, and formulas sing in my ears. Let’s turn to page 1 of
my introduction, shall we? My infamous book, contains the best of
problems… and a bit of your worst fears. Let's dive deep into the ocean
of mathematics, where even the toughest problems tremble before my
calculations. Problems ko dekhkar mat ro, unko rula do HA HA HA
Host: Next up, it is really him! Your friend from New Mouse City! The
rodent, the myth, the legend... our showstopper! Geronimooooo!
Geronimo:
Host: Welcome everyone! Now, since we’re through with the intros, it’s
time to hand out these awards! The nominees for our very first category,
Best Fantasy Series, are - Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Who do you
(to audience) think should win?
Host: (after audience quiets down) Tough choice, huh? Let’s see… Oh!
Interesting! We have a tie! Congratulations to both of you! (host gives
badges).
Host: Next up, we have the 2nd category – Most Inspirational, for which
we have our lovely nominees – Malala Yousafzai and APJ Abdul Kalam.
Comparing these two is like a comparison between apples and oranges!
But, alas, we must declare a winner.
Congratulations to... Dr. Kalam!
Host: Without further ado, the award goes to… Diary of a Wimpy Kid!
Host: Moving on, our next category is Brainy Book Award, and the
nominees are – Sherlock Holmes, and Matilda!
Host: I wonder who that could be… let’s find out! The winner of this
award is… the brainiac himself, Sherlock Holmes!
Host: Here comes the next category, Fan-favorite, and this time, we have
come to a unanimous decision. The winner is none other than…Geronimo
Stilton!
Host: We have one category remaining to conclude the show, last but not
the least, we have the Nightmarish Book Award, and yet again, a
unanimous winner… Dr. RD Sharma takes this one home!

like!
