ON THE ADMISSION, ENROLMENT, MIGRATION

AND TRANSFER OF STUDENTS

Under Section 26 (i) (a) of the NEHU Act, 1973

1. Without prejudice to the Provisions of the Statutes, no student shall be eligible for
admission to any Under-Graduate or Post-Graduate course of study under this
University on migration from any other University or Board unless he has passed the
equivalent examination or examinations of the University or Board as prescribed by
the Ordinances for admission to the concerned course or courses by this University.

Provided that the application for admission must be supported by:

i. a migration/no objection certificate from the concerned University/Board;

and
ii. a certificate from the Principal of the College in which last studied testifying
the record of attendance and conduct of the student;

Provided further that the application of a student who has not completed his course
of study and has not appeared at the examination for which he was reading in any
other University or Board in India shall be considered for admission in a Course of
this University whose pattern and syllabi are similar to that course studied by him in
the former University/Board.

1. Transfer of a student from one affiliated college to another during a particular course
of study shall be permitted only on the production of:

i. a transfer/no objection certificate issued by the Principal of the college from

which the migration is sought ;
ii. certified copies of the report of attendance against his name in the register
of students of the college concerned; and
iii. a certificate from the Principal testifying the conduct of the student.
