Background. : Most schools (Cornerstone Secondary School included) do not have First Aid Clubs.As
a result their injured athletes are often left unattended during sports competitions or maybe improperly
attended.Therefore there is need for PESMD learners to have first aid skills through conducting a
research on types and examples of injuries, causes of injuries, prevention and management of sports
injuries.

centre and obtain information using interviews or observation, make use of internet, journals,
newspapers and sport magazines.
