COURSE OBJECTIVE:
Through this course students should be able to
- apply artistic and technical skill in the project
- analyze the feedback and implement the changes to obtain quality outcome
- evaluate the scope of expressing ideas through different mediums
- evaluate various methods and approach in the major subject/field of study
- prepare production schedule to obtain an industry standard results
- develop portfolio to showcase proficiency in the chosen field of study

Project Scope: Total work points=1960 (100%)

Option 1:
Portfolio Development: (1176 Work Points)-60%
Executing Portfolio development as per the proposed concepts related to respective
specialization area.

Freelance/ Competition based projects (588 Work Points/210 USD)-30%
Work as a freelancer or participate in competition (approved by project mentor) of various
Animation, VFX & Graphic design projects from online platforms.

MOOCs course (196 Work Points)-10%
Do MOOCs course (approved by project mentor) from various online platforms such as
udemy, coursera, Edx, Unacademy etc.

Option 2:
Total freelance/ Competition based projects (1960 Work Points/700 USD)-100%
Work as a freelancer or participate in competition (approved by project mentor) of various
Animation, VFX & Graphic design projects from online platforms.

Guidelines:
General:
1.Plagiarism should be avoided and if found in project report/output, it will result in
awarding marks up to zero.
2. 5-minute critique discussion/peer review on project presentation shall be held during
project jury.
3. Communication is the key. All students shall share their individual experiences during
project presentations.
Portfolio project (Hypothetical):

1. Student need to identify the mentor for his project. No student will start the project without
selecting the mentor. Any such project started without selecting the mentor or without
approval from the mentor shall be considered null.
2. Student should fill the project approval form and take signature of project coordinator and
mentor on the form.
3. Student should fill the production schedule with tentative dates mentioned on it.
4. Student shall take regular feedback (minimum 1 per week) from mentor on feedback form.
5. project related exploration, execution and other documents need to be maintained by the
students in the prescribed format.
6. Key inputs (Feedbacks) given by the mentor need to be followed and incorporated by the
students, however student can justify their concepts and execution.
7. Since individual student portfolios are given priority in job interviews, students should
avoid doing group projects. Sometimes these can be tough to get completed with highest
quality due to lack of teamwork or some unforeseen events like non availability of some
team members.

Freelance:
1. It is the student responsibility to prove the authenticity of the project sources and the
earnings, for the same as a proof back account details/ client rating and feedbacks / order
details / account details may be considered.
2. Student should avoid taking freelance project in offline mode/local clients. In such cases of
offline freelance, project coordinator will do strict scrutiny before approving the projects.
3. Only projects undertaken, executed, and delivered from the semester start to end dates shall
be considered.
4. 2.8 work points are equal to 1 USD

Competition:
1. Students should participate in the competition only after approval of the mentor.
2. Merely participation in the competition shall not make student eligible for securing work
point allotted for it. Student should showcase very good performance in the competition.
3. 1 hour of competition work will be equal to 10 work points.

Monthly Jury:
1. Monthly evaluation jury will be scheduled during the last week of each month.
2. Project progress shall be checked and evaluated once a week, as decided by the project
coordinator.
3. The project evaluation also includes managing the feedback form and implementing the
inputs given by the project mentor.
4. Student who is unable to perform the mentioned points by the time of the final execution,
project will not be considered and have to clear his/her project again in the next semester.
5. Monthly and final jury evaluation parameters are mentioned below, please do refer IP for
more details on evaluation parameters.

Final Submission:
1. Student will have to prepare a power point presentation (PPT) for each monthly jury and be
confident about his/her project to present.
2. Hand written documents will not be appreciated at any project levels at the submission.
3. Student will have to prepare a hard binding documentation called BLACK BOOK for the final
project jury
4. Along with the BLACK BOOK, student will submit a CD/DVD of his/her project. CD/DVD
should contain final raw project files in an organized manner and final output in video
formats in good resolution quality and power point presentation (PPT) of the project.
5. Making of video, Breakdown will be appreciated in the project.
6. Final video should be in presentable form.
