System Login
• Login to Enterprise Data Repository and Analytics platform using the following URL:
https://spotfire.hpcl.co.in
• Please note that the URL begins with https:// and not http://
• The system is integrated with ADS and hence relevant credentials to be used to login to the
platform.

Opening dashboards
Click on File -> Open Or click on + button as displayed in the following screenshot. Then click on

Spotfire library and follow the relevant path to your dashboards.

Using the dashboards

Dashboard features and usage is listed below:

• Query data from database

o Data is extracted from database basis the From and To dates selected using calendar. After
extraction of data, quick filters can be used to limit data further.
o Select From and To dates and click on Query button.

• Filters
o Filters are used to limit the results from front end. Any filter operations do not hit the
database and execute quickly.
o Multiple selections can be made using the filters using checkboxes.
o You may select one or many values from the available checkbox filters. Except date
filter, all other filters work on front end and do not hit the database.
o Filters on any particular dashboard will update all other dashboards.

o For additional filters click on button on top right corner.

• Hierarchy control
o The Hierarchy slider available on left hand side can be used to control the display level
of granularity. Pulling slider below will decrease the level of granularity and vice versa.

• Reset
o Reset button can be used to reset filters on all tabs. Clicking Reset Filters button on any
dashboard will reset filters on all dashboards.

• Exporting data
o Right click on the table which you would like to export. Then use the export menu to
export the data in variety of formats including CSV.
o Filtered data with the hierachy level selected visible on the page will be exported. If
you want to export all data then you should Reset all filters and then export.

• Navigating between the tabs

o Use the tabs at the bottom to navigate to different reports in the dasboard.

• Sorting
o Click on any column header to open the sorting menu.
o First option in the highlighting section is to clear any sorting.
o The next 2 options are to sort within the defined hierarchies
o The last 2 options are to sort irrespective of the defined hierachies.
