3.HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION:

Human: If ingested may cause some irritation to the mouth and upper
digestive tract.

May irritate the eye.

May cause skin irritation especially if exposure is prolonged


and / or repeated.

It is unlikely that inhalation will be a route of exposure.

Safety: Not classified as flammable, explosive or oxidising.

Ecological: Readily biodegradable so unlikely to accumulate in the


environment.

4.FIRST AID:

If ingested, wash out the mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical
advice.
In case of skin contact, wash the skin with water.
In case of eye contact, wash out the eye thoroughly with plenty of clean water.

5.FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES:

Fumes containing carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide may be formed in
large fires.
Put out any fire with powder, foam, sand or water spray. The product is unlikely
to support combustion due to its water content.

Avoid using large quantities of water.


In case of fire, self contained breathing apparatus must be worn.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:

Contain and collect spillage. Absorb on to sand / kieselguhr or other inert


material.
Failure to contain a release must be notified to local authority.

May make floor very slippery. Do not wash into surface drains or water courses.
Place into labelled plastic barrels for disposal and do not mix with other waste
materials. Dispose of in accordance with State and local regulations – seek advice
from the local waste authority.

7 HANDLING AND STORAGE:

Store in the original sealed container at between 5 and 25 degrees Centigrade.


Protect from frost. Do not store in direct sunlight.

Intended use: General purpose detergent / manual dishwashing product.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL / PERSONAL PROTECTION:

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothes. Working procedures should be designed
to minimise exposure to this product. Where this is not possible the following
personal protection equipment should be provided:

Hand protection: Impervious gloves recommended


Skin protection: Protective overalls, sho es/ boots recommended
Eye protection; Chemical safety goggles recommended

All personal protective equipment must comply with the appropriate EEC (CE)
standards and should be maintained and stored to ensure continued suitability for
use. Workers should be trained in the effective use and maintenance of the
personal protective equipment provided.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY:

Avoid extremes of temperature.


Avoid storage in mild steel containers.
May react with strong oxidants.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:

LD50 (oral rat) > 2000mg/kg


Not classified as “Harmful if swallowed”. May cause some irritation of the mouth
and upper digestive tract.
May produce some skin irritation after prolonged contact.
May cause eye irritation.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION:

This product is readily biodegradable.


Do NOT release into surface waters.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Dispose of according to local regulations.


Do not mix with other waste materials.
