o IR spectroscopy
o NMR spectroscopy
o Mass spectrometry
4. Organic Synthesis and Mechanisms
o Reaction mechanisms (substitution, elimination, addition)
o Retrosynthetic analysis
o Protecting groups
5. Bioorganic Chemistry
o Amino acids and proteins
o Carbohydrates and lipids
