I. OBJECTIVES:
CONTENT STANDARD
The learners demonstrate understanding of the factors that affect climate, and the effects of
changing climate and how to adapt climate change.

Performance Standard
The learners should be able to participate in activities that reduce risks and lessen effects
of climate change.

LEARNING COMPETENCIES
The learners should be able to explain how different factors affect the climate of an area.
(S9ES – IIIe-30)

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
At the end of 60 minutes discussion the learners should be able to:
1. Describe the global carbon concentrations and temperature over the last hundred years.
2. Interpret the relationship between carbon dioxide and temperature.
3. Determine one’s contribution to carbon concentration by calculating the personal carbon
emission.
II. CONTENT:
TOPIC/TITLE: Activity 9 – CO2 is the Reason; Activity 10 – Am I a Climate Hero or
Climate Culprit?
