When Steve and Linda Blamer first envisioned the ranch of their dreams, they wanted a
place to do some serious partying. Big family gatherings, events, and even weddings were
activities the Blamers wanted for their personal use.

Since that time, Blame Her Ranch has had several weddings for friends, family members,
and countless family & corporate gatherings. Besides the Main Lodge with it’s 4000+
square feet of game room, great room, and kitchen, the ranch offers 1800+square feet of
covered decks and patios. The great lawn out back is over 18,000 square feet which is
perfect for outdoor events—either tented or not.

Recently, the Blamer’s also converted their 1,750 square foot barn into a knotty pine “party
zone” for their daughter’s Rehearsal Dinner and also constructed a 1,500 square foot
outdoor covered Gazebo area in the woods for her wedding ceremony. This truly beautiful
space overlooks the massive Gonzales Valley with 70-mile views. Both of these new
locations offer seating or space for up to 250 people.
Wedding parties or families (up to 44 people) can all be in one place for the whole night or
long weekend. From barbecue to black tie, when you reserve the Ranch, it’s your choice,
your style, your way. You’ve got full control over your event. BHR is truly unmatched by
any local ranch or venues in the Santa Fe area.

So there will be no blaming the Bride at BHR… Just to be clear, we are an LGBT-friendly

OUR SPACES
CLIFFSIDE CEREMONY GAZEBO
With breathtaking views of over 70 miles and clouds you can
almost touch, this outdoor ceremony/event area is unmatched
in NM or maybe anywhere in the United States. The log
covered cedar pine gazebo can accommodate up to 250 guests
with a separate patio area showcasing tree branches to form a
perfect arch that frames the rustic southwestern view.

MAIN LODGE
You want one place for the entire family or group to
congregate, eat and have fun. With a 28-foot stone fireplace,
leather sofas and chairs this will be your center of activity
while at Blame Her Ranch. Twenty-Five inch logs, gigantic
moss covered stones and 3-story ceilings, makes you feel
almost small in the Great Room.

Whether it’s touch football or a formal wedding, you need
space and Blame Her Ranch has it with our 18,000 sq. ft.
lawn. One step off the wooden deck that surrounds the Main
Lodge and Wings, takes you down a gentle slope to the edge
of the cliff with views of over 70 miles.

KNOTTY PINE BARN


Most people keep horses, tractors and lots of stuff in their
barn, but at BHR it’s a 1,750 sq. ft. party/dance hall. It comes
with 2 flat screen TVs with stereo sound systems, heaters,
and wine barrel cocktail tables and bars. It is perfect for your
rehearsal dinner or Plan B.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you have any time restrictions?
No! Most venues shut the party down at 9 or 10 p.m., but we don’t. If you can party till 4 a.m., be our guest. You also
don’t need to worry about when you have to set up or when to have certain events. You are renting our home for the
weekend. Do things on your time.
2. Do you provide Catering?
No, but this is to your advantage. You can cook for yourselves, bring in trays of food to reheat, hire a food truck, your
favorite restaurant for buffet service, or even a 5-course plated dinner. This lets you customize your wedding and meet
your budget without being forced into limited options with food and beverage minimums.
3. Do you provide alcohol?
No, but again, you benefit from this. We do require that you hire bartenders for the events (we recommend ABQ
Barkeeps), but you are welcome to purchase the alcohol from Total Wine or your favorite liquor store. You can get beer
for $1 per bottle instead of paying $8-$12 per drink at a hotel.
4. Do you have a built-in Plan B?
Yes! If it’s winter time or the weather isn’t cooperating in the summer, you can have the wedding in our Knotty Pine
Party Barn at no additional cost. Other outdoor venues may force you into renting a tent which drives up the cost of your
wedding. Our barn is included and can also be used for the rehearsal dinner or even cocktail hour if everything else is
planned outside.
5. What is your capacity?
Our Cliffside Ceremony Gazebo can seat up to 250 guests for the ceremony and our Great Lawn can seat up to 250 guests
for the reception. Our Knotty Pine Party Barn can seat up to 160 guests, but it is possible to rent a tent and attach it to the
barn to increase the seating capacity.
6. Do you provide tables and benches?
Yes! We have 25 dinner tables and 50 benches to pair with them. They can comfortably seat 8 guests or a maximum of 10
guests per table using 2 benches. The total seating capacity is 200 comfortably or 250 maximum. We’ll set them up for you
one time free of charge. It is your responsibility to decorate them if you wish though. We have a second set of benches
permanently installed at the Cliffside Ceremony Gazebo as well, so you shouldn’t need to rent any seating.
7. Do you provide any decorations?
In addition to the tables and benches that can be used for the reception, rehearsal dinner, and ceremony, we also provide 8
single-barrel cocktail tables and 4 double-barrel bar tops. There are also string lights over the backyard and in the barn.
We estimate the total of these items renting out for over $3,500 from a rental company, but they are included at no
additional charge.
8. Do you provide heaters?
We have a 40’ long fire feature behind the pool that can be used from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the wedding day and we also
have several heaters in the barn. However, the heaters in the barn must stay in the barn. If you need more heaters outside,
you will need to rent them.
9. Do you provide bathrooms?
All of your lodgers are welcome to use the bathrooms inside their rooms, but you are required to rent portapotties for your
day guests during the wedding. The cheapest option will be around $130 for the weekend, but you can decide to go with
a fancier option that includes A/C and running water if you prefer. However, it is required to have one restroom stall for
every 50 guests beyond the 24/44 lodgers.
Frequently Asked Questions
10. Do you require a wedding planner or a coordinator?
We don’t require them, but we highly suggest them. At the very least we recommend designating a family member or
friend to help with things on the wedding day because you will be too busy to tell your vendors where to set up.

11. Do you provide an onsite manager?


Yes! Randy the Ranch Hand will be onsite during your stay for any problems that may come up. While we don’t
anticipate any issues, it’s nice to know you’re in good hands. He does not stay in the house and you will have complete
privacy.

12. How far is BHR from the city?


We are located about halfway between Santa Fe and Las Vegas, NM. It is a relaxing scenic drive with the Santa Fe
National Forrest on both sides of the highway. We’re about 50 minutes from the outskirts of Santa Fe and 35 minutes
from the outskirts of Las Vegas.

13. Do you require bus transportation?


No, we don’t require it. In fact, we have a parking lot for anyone that drives. If you are interested in bus transportation,
we recommend Herrera Coaches. They have white school buses that can seat 44 guests. A round trip from Santa Fe to
BHR and back is about $15/person. They also have coaches that can seat 56 guests at around $25/person.

14. Do you have any relations with nearby hotels?


Yes! We have a special relationship with Hotel Santa Fe and Inn at Santa Fe, but most hotels will give you a discount for
large blocks of rooms.

15. Are there any nearby Airbnbs for additional accommodations?


Yes, the BHR Farmhouse is only 4 miles from the ranch and can sleep an additional 6 guests. We also recommend the
Pecos River Cliff House about 25 minutes from BHR.

16. Do you allow camping on the property?


We do not allow for any camping or RVs on our property. However, the Villanueva State Park is only 10 miles from the
ranch and allows for camping and RVs. There are also KOAs outside of Las Vegas and Santa Fe.

17. Do you require security?


No. You are renting our home on private property. Security is not required, but you can hire them if you feel it is
important to you.

18. Do you require insurance?


Yes, we do require you to purchase Event Insurance (which we will walk you through later) that runs about $135, covers
you for $1M in coverage, and has a $1,000 deductible. The deductible becomes our fully refundable security deposit
which we only cash if damage occurs during your stay.
19. Are you pet-friendly?
Yes! We love dogs. It is your special day and your best friends should be there too. We hope they walk down the aisle
with you.

20. Are you LGBT-friendly? Why Blame Her?


Yes! Blame Her Ranch is only a play on words for the owner's last name which is “Blamer.”
We’re LGBT-friendly and managed. Everyone is welcome at BHR.
