HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC) is seeking two part-time
research assistants to join in its Philippine initiative on land and resource conflict monitoring.

Since 2014, ANGOC has been implementing its initiative on land conflict monitoring, focusing on the
prevalence and types of land and natural resource conflicts, their nature and causes, and the responses
to address them. Philippine land and resource conflict reports have been prepared for the years 2014,
2018, 2020, 2021, and 2023. Past reports (both in the Philippine- and Asia-levels) may be searched and
viewed through the ANGOC portal at https://angoc.org/portal/.

As a regional association, ANGOC comprises national and regional networks of civil society organizations
(CSOs) in Asia. These organizations are dedicated to addressing critical issues such as food security,
agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture, participatory governance, and rural development. ANGOC
collaborates with national governments, intergovernmental organizations, and international financial
institutions through field programs and policy discussions.

ANGOC stands out as one of the few remaining regional membership-based networks originating from
Asia. Its network members and partners operate in countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, China,
India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka, with an extensive presence
encompassing approximately 3,000 CSOs and constituency-based organizations.
