OCTOBER: MONTH OF THE HOLY ROSARY

Introduction:
At the beginning of the month dedicated to Our Lady, we unite in prayer with all
the shrines across the world, with the faithful and all people of good will, to entrust into
the hands of our Holy Mother all of humanity, sorely tried by this period of pandemic.
In the present dramatic situation, full of suffering and anguish that grips the entire
world, we turn to our Mother of God, and seek refuge under her protection.The rosary is
a powerful prayer. In Fatima, Our Lady said to pray the rosary every day for peace in
the world. We are certain that Our Lady wants us to pray the rosary everyday now for
the end of global health crisis.
In this month of October, the LLCI community will join the whole Church in
meditating this beautiful prayer of the Holy Rosary on the entire life of Jesus Christ, the
passion, death, resurrection and glory with the special intercession of the Blessed Virgin
Mary. The Rosary though clearly Marian in character is at heart a Christocentric Prayer.
The LIDEan Holy Rosary Month celebration 2021 will allow each member to
continue to exercise its critical minds, express its caring hearts and extends its serving
hands through the activities included in the celebration.
Today, we also culminate the celebration of the “Season of Creation” with the
theme “A Home for All? Renewing the Oikos of God”. It is our hope to work together to
develop a new way to see Scripture, life, and Earth all in the Oikos of God and to
acknowledge the wisdom from countless sisters and brothers helping all to renew our
world as an interconnected and interdependent global beloved community. It is our
hope and prayer also that we can become again this beloved community of intentional
discipleship. We hope to move beyond the programmatic and didactic aspects of life to
the prophetic and spiritual life, to the action and way of life, which is shaped by Jesus.

great family, in the awareness of the bond that unites us all, so that with a
spirit of brotherhood and solidarity we may come to the aid of the many poor
and destitute situations. Encourage firmness of faith, perseverance in
serving, and constancy in praying.”
