System User Interface (SUI)

System User Interface for the new generation of smart substations

SUI is the new generation of HMI, based on

Schneider Electric’s long experience of automation
and IEC 61850 in electrical substations.
The new graphical interface provides operators
with a powerful tool to optimise design, control,
monitoring and maintenance.
SUI is a scalable HMI designed for versatile
applications, such as bay panel monitoring, utility
substation control, and supervision of large
industrial sites.
With SUI, users benefit from service continuity
with full availability of HMI functions.
A role-based access control mechanism allows
operators to work with the System User Interface
in a cyber secure environment.

System User Interface is composed of
servers, coupled to IEC 61850 Station Bus
and data display clients.
The SUI servers offer architectures of
redundant clusters to guarantee a high level
of availability and reliability.
Data is archived in a historian database,
shared by all servers, based on an SQL table
rotation mechanism.
Integrated IEC 61850
The SUI engineering tool-suite ensures
simple IEC 61850 configuration and
maintenance to interface many IEC 61850
compliant IEDs.
Cyber security
Embedded security server
guarantees compliance to NERC-CIP
requirements.
Furthermore, System User Interface
software can be protected with most
popular anti-virus software.

other language.
