 Healthcare consumers are looking to have a simple and effective experience

similar to their online shopping, hotel booking, or procuring a service online

experience.

 Medical tourism patients want their providers to use technologies that would

simplify the aspects of healthcare services, making exceptional patient

experience.

Singapore

The beautiful city-country of Singapore is a global center for medical tourism. The World

Health Organization (WHO) rates the health system of this global city as the sixth best in the

world. It follows that it opens its clinics and hospitals to around 550,000 international patients a

year. The popularity of health tourism in the Republic of Singapore can be explained by a

powerful medical infrastructure, highly qualified doctors and medical supplies and reasonable

prices. The main directions of treatment are cardiology, neurology, orthopedics and pediatrics

(Singapore has the lowest infant mortality rate in the world).

Italy
The Italian healthcare system meets the highest European standards, making it one of the

top countries in the 2019 medical tourism ranking. Local hospitals provide advanced treatment

of neurosurgical, orthopedic, cardiac and orthopedic diseases giving unparalleled care. high-

quality medical care, competitive prices, a large number of hospitals and clinics, specialized

treatments, advanced technology and the possibility of combining treatment with holidays

abroad.

Germany

In Germany, 250,000 patients from about 170 countries annually choose it as the best

country for medical tourism, ranking 12th worldwide for the quality of the service it provides

and the technologies it applies. This country occupies the first positions in terms of the number

of investments in the development of medicines.

travelers, usually at very high levels: neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, orthopedic surgery,

Brazilians not only have a reputation for beauty, but they also have a great obsession with

plastic surgery. Today, Brazil is among the top 3 countries for the number of plastic surgeries

performed each year. Because Brazil exempts plastic surgery procedures from taxes, Brazil has

become one of the best destinations for medical tourism. The most popular procedures performed

in Brazil are breast augmentation surgery, liposuction and the Brazilian butt lift, which is named

after its popularity in this country.

South Korea

In the last decade, South Korea has become one of the favorite destinations for plastic

surgery tourism in Asia. Plastic surgery became very popular there among both locals and

foreigners. South Korean surgeons are among the best plastic surgeons in the world. While there

are many patients who undergo nose jobs and liposuction, the most popular surgery is double

eyelid surgery due to the preference for Western-looking eyes among Asians.
Colombia

Colombia has also positioned itself as an attractive destination to access health services,

especially plastic and aesthetic surgeries; both for the quality of Colombian professionals and for

the prices of aesthetic procedures in clinics and centers authorized by the Colombian health

system, especially affordable for foreigners. The surgeries that are most practiced in aesthetic

medical tourism in Colombia are liposuction, followed by mammoplasty. According to data from

the Society of Plastic Surgeons, by 2023 Colombia is expected to receive around 2.8 million

travelers from abroad for health tourism.
