Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Review of Adaptation Strategie

This review article assesses the projected impacts of climate change on agricultural systems across Sub-
Saharan Africa and evaluates current adaptation strategies. It synthesizes empirical studies and
modeling assessments to elucidate how rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and
extreme weather events are likely to affect crop yields, water availability, and food security in the
region. The paper identifies key adaptation measures such as crop diversification, improved irrigation
techniques, agroforestry practices, and policy interventions aimed at building resilience in agricultural
communities. It also discusses the socio-economic implications of climate change on smallholder
