Carlos: Hi, thank you for coming to the interview. My name is Carlos, and I am
the psychologist who will interview you for the Programmer position that we
need in our company. But before that, I will give you a brief description of the
company. We have been working in the software market for over 20 years, and
it is a very stable company. So if you are hired, you will have many benefits
that our employees have, such as trips abroad, training in programming
languages, among others. Could you introduce yourself briefly?

Jorge: Sure, my name is Jorge Ruiz. I am a technologist in electronics and

software analysis and development, and I have 10 years of experience in
electronics and programming. I am just starting my programming career, but I
consider that I have the advantage that electronics is closely related to
programming. I think it will be very easy for me when I dedicate myself to it
full time. I consider myself a committed, proactive person who wants to
continue learning. I have always said that knowledge is power.
Carlos: Great. Could you tell me a little about your previous work experience?
Jorge: Yes, of course. I have worked in different companies in the electronics
field, programming microcontrollers and various devices in the industry to
meet a customer's requirements. I have had the opportunity to develop my
programming and code development skills. In my last job in the national army,
I was responsible for keeping new modern machines constantly running.
Carlos: I understand. In this position, we are looking for someone with specific
skills, such as teamwork and creativity. Could you tell me about your strengths
related to these skills?
Jorge: Sure. I think my greatest strength is patience and teamwork. It is
incredible the ideas that arise when we all contribute our points of view.
During my career, I have had the opportunity to apply these skills in
programming. I think these skills would be valuable in this position and would
allow me to contribute to the team's success.
Carlos: In addition to technical skills, we value adaptability and teamwork a lot.
Could you tell me about a situation in which you have worked in a team and
demonstrated adaptability?
Jorge: Sure, recently in my job in the national army, I participated in a project
that required collaboration between different departments. We worked with
tight deadlines, and unexpected changes arose in the project's scope. I
demonstrated adaptability by quickly adjusting our strategies and coordinating
with team members to meet the objectives. I learned a lot about the
importance of communication and flexibility in challenging situations.
Carlos: Very interesting. Could you tell me about a particular challenge that
you have faced in your career and how you overcame it?
Jorge: Yes, in my previous job in the National Army, we had a problem with a
fully automated machine that had a damaged CPU and did not turn on, which
prevented it from cutting the pieces to make soldiers' uniforms. To solve it, I
worked in collaboration with my team and other departments, conducting
thorough research and proposing viable solutions. Finally, we implemented an
action plan that reduced the problem by 100%. I learned a lot about the
importance of collaboration and problem-solving in a team.
Carlos: Excellent. Now, I would like to know how you stay up to date in your
area of work and what sources you use to stay informed.
Jorge: Sure, I stay up to date through YouTube channels where I am interested
in programming languages and related channels. Additionally, I read blogs
dedicated to solving emerging programming problems. Also, when I have the
opportunity and knowledge, I help my colleagues with any issues they have.

Carlos: Excellent, now I would like to know more about your work experience
as a software analyst and developer. Tell me about your experience as a
software developer. How many years of experience do you have, and in which
areas have you specialized?
Jorge: As I mentioned before, I have previously worked in companies where
my role was to automate processes, and I had to learn various programming
languages such as C++, Python, among others that are not very well-known but
have many similarities. Now, my future projection is to apply all the knowledge
I have acquired at SENA and in another technical program I previously
completed in software development, which went very well.
Carlos: How do you stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements
in software development?
Jorge: I always like to be in constant learning. My motto is "Every day you learn
something new." That's why my challenge is to read news articles or
participate in forums where the latest technology and advancements in
programming are discussed.
Carlos: Have you worked in agile development teams? If so, describe your
experience and how you contributed to the team's success.
Jorge: Honestly, I haven't had the opportunity to work on a real project.
However, during my academic stage, we had programming challenges in which
we worked as a team using the SCRUM methodology. It was very satisfying to
complete those challenges because we had to work on different parts of a code
function and supported each other to carry out the project and complete it
within the established time frame.

Carlos: That's great. I can see that your profile fits the requirements we are
looking for. However, as you know, this is a position for which multiple
candidates have applied, and I need to evaluate them. Tomorrow, we will have
the list of candidates who have passed the initial interviews. We will be
contacting them, so if you don't receive a call from us, it means you didn't
move forward in the selection process. Please refrain from calling us; we will
be the ones to contact you.
Jorge: That's wonderful, and thank you for the opportunity. Goodbye, have a
great day. I'll be waiting for the call...
