Statement of the Problem:

The Commission on Arts and Culture wanted to give honor to all Filipino Artist by putting
up a landmark that will distinguish the great talent of the Filipino. The Government
awarded a lot to the commission for the proposed project. A (TLA) Total Lot Area of
12,000.00 Square meter.

The Center will not only consider performing and filming, but it will also showcase the
priceless masterpiece of all Filipino Artists that will serve as house gallery. Despite the
gallery will open to the public to educate Filipino with those prove work of different artist.
This should not interfere if ever there is on-going production.

Considering that the premises will become particular with the different schools for their
educational field trip the design configuration should provide a sequence to have a
continuous flow despite of overlapping schedules of visitors from different schools.

Project Site Feature:
The Project site is an inside lot with 120 meter frontage facing East. The project
site is large enough for the proposed project development, but the proposed
building/ structure will consider front setback requirements in the front of
24meter (RROW) Road right of way toward south.

Design Objective:
• To Plan/ design the project that will showcase the latest technology and
modern Architecture.
• To Plan/ design the project considering cultural activities and mixed use
occupancy.
• The project should consider international standard.
• The project will be the Architectural landmark of the country

Design Requirements:

General Areas:

• Concert Hall – serves as venue for concerts, recitals and other performances.
1. Orchestral platform is able to hold up to 120 musicians
2. Is able to comfortably seat about 1200 people with
• Theatre – has a capacity of 1500
• Recital Studio – able to contain 200 people and is a good venue for small scale and intimate
chamber musical performances as well as presentations and meetings.
• Theatre Studio – capacity of up t0 150 is a small setting for experimental theatre and dance
presentations.
• Library- devoted to the performing arts
• Outdoor Theatre facing waterfront, can seat 200 people and accommodate up to 400 standing.
• Outdoor open space on the fourth floor of the building. Offering a magnificent view of the bay, it is
a popular space for many to grab perfect photo of the _______ Skyline. Landscape with lawn,
shrubs and small shade trees, it can also be transformed into an event space for product launches,
fashion shows, dinner receptions.
• Rehearsal Studio
• Restaurant viewing the bay with Alfresco
• Exhibit hall
• Administration Office

1.Proximity Matrix, bubble diagram, design concept, design consideration, problem statement
2.Floor plan at scale 1:150M; provide furniture/ equipment layout
Area computation breakdowns
Parkings, Hallways etc.
Total gross Floor Area (TGFA) covering all levels/ floors
Showing the 70% usable space and 30% common area
3.Site Development Plan at Scale 1:150M. and showing the following key information:
Roof Plan of the Community Theater
Site perimeter security feature e.g. perimeter wall/fence, gate, pedestrian/ vehicular
barriers, parkings
The street, particularly the sidewalk
4. Ground- level (Man’s Eye view) Exterior Perspective at any convenient scale
5. Interior of:
a. Main Lobby– Blow up Plan (Scale 1:50M.), 1 detailed elevation , Interior Perspective
b. Administration Room - Blow up Plan (Scale 1:50M.), 1 detailed elevation, Interior

g. Drafting / Rendering, Conformity to instruction and completeness of
the design solutions and drawing requirements (10%)
