Azure Virtual Network

A virtual network enables Azure resources, such as virtual machines (VM), to communicate privately
with each other, and with the internet.

Subnetting

 Subnetting is the process of dividing a network into two or more subnets.

 An IP address has numbers that identify the network ID and the host ID.
 A subnet address borrows some of the bits from the host ID of the IP address.
 Subnetting is largely invisible to computer users who aren't also network administrators.

Routing table

 Routing table is a set of rules, often viewed in table format, that is used to determine where
data packets traveling over an Internet Protocol (IP) network will be directed. All IP-enabled
devices, including routers and switches, use routing tables.

Create subnet in dashboard – add subnet

If we have DNS server in azure , we need to give that IP address in vnet network only , then only
that OS will take DNS IP

To create a Peering connection, we need a at least two network –Vnet:

1. Select a network , which we are going to do peering and same step in another network also .

2. Another below three configuration is for forwarded traffic to allow all traffic in both VNET ,
Gateway transit is to allow a internet gateway – normally in VNET default internet gateway will
available while we connecting two other network , we need a gateway transit , use remote
gateway is used to remote gateway form another VNET
