FACTS:

The case involves the murder of Celso Luna. The accused, Edilberto Tudtud, was
charged with the crime of murder for allegedly killing Luna on July 28, 1997.
Witnesses testified that Tudtud shot Luna without any provocation. Tudtud,
however, claimed self-defense, alleging that Luna was about to attack him with a
bolo, forcing him to shoot Luna to protect himself.

ISSUE:

1. Whether or not the prosecution proved Tudtud’s guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
2. Whether or not Tudtud’s claim of self-defense is credible.

CRIME:

MURDER

The Supreme Court upheld Tudtud's conviction for murder.

RULE:

The Supreme Court affirmed the conviction of Tudtud, finding him guilty of murder.
