2023/24 COMMITMENT FORM | Arts Umbrella Copy

Parent Statement:
As a parent/guardian of a student selected to participate in the Arts Umbrella Advanced Troupe Program, I have read
and understood the information regarding the program and want my child to be involved in this opportunity.

I understand that my child must attend all scheduled classes, rehearsals and performances. My child and I will make
this commitment a priority.

I understand that student absences are difficult for the class, and the instructor, so I will give my child’s instructor as
much advanced notice as possible when my child will be absent from class. If my child will be absent, I will email
theatre@artsumbrella.com with their name, program, and reason for absence.

If my child is ill, they will not attend class for the safety of the other students and instructors and I will email as soon as
I can so the instructor can adapt the rehearsal plan. My child will join the class remotely if able.

I understand that my child’s presence in class as well as rehearsal time at home should be a priority this year. I
understand that my child missing rehearsals for other commitments will affect casting decisions for year-end
performances.

I understand that Arts Umbrella reserves the right to film and photograph the classes/rehearsals and use the footage
to publicize the program.

Student’s Statement:
I understand that by joining the Arts Umbrella Advanced Troupe Program, I am expected to be on time and prepared
for all classes, rehearsals, and performances.
I will be respectful of my fellow class members as well as the training and rehearsal process. I promise to be committed
not only to the class but to the work.
I understand that if I am ill, I will not attend class for the safety of the other students and instructors. I also understand
