SUBJECT ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR FOREIGN TRAVEL

AUTHORITY

This refers to the application for foreign travel authority for local officials and
employees.

In addition to the existing administrative requirements outlined in DILG MC 2022-147,

please be advised that local officials and employees traveling abroad for more than 3
months or during declared states of calamity will need to submit an authority to travel
issued by their Local Chief Executive (LCE).

This requirement aligns with Section 6 of Office of the President Memorandum Circular
No. 35, which emphasizes that no local official or employee shall depart for any foreign
travel without obtaining travel authorization from their agency.
