Academics
Sahaj is an able boy who looks forward to work positively on his academics. This is clearly
visible in his performance in T.T II. He has worked very sincerely capitalizing on the assistance
provided by the teachers and utilizing his time constructively. He is further advised to focus more
on subjects that are a concern for him and enhance his confidence.

Co-curricular Activities
He participated prolifically in English Elocution and the Entertainment Nite show.

Games & Sports


During the term, Sahaj actively played the inter house Football, Hockey, Badminton, Squash,
Table Tennis and the Swimming events. He is an integral member of the Sherwood band and is a
Piper. He has very efficiently groomed himself in Athletics. He is commended for his conduct on
the sports field.

General Comments
Sahaj is an inquisitive learner who enjoys analyzing situations and actively engages in working
prudently and diligently. He shows persistence on challenging assignments. He is further advised
to continue with his good effort in order to shape him as an all-rounder. He is very punctual with
his outfit and hygiene.

H.M. Comments
Sahaj is a soft spoken and well behaved boy. He has shown tremendous improvement over the
months in all the fields but still a lot is to be achieved and over accomplished. Therefore, he is
advised to stay focused and determined towards goals which are still to be attended.

REOPENING OF THE COLLEGE FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION: 2024

Dear Parents,
Greetings from Sherwood!
1. We are forwarding a Circular to all parents for their information, perusal and strict compliance for the
forthcoming Academic Session 2024.
Reopening of the College
2. Students will report to the College in Complete College Kit, strictly between 02:00 P.M. to 05:00 P.M. Dates for
reporting are appended below.
(a) Classes III to XII (Less Class XI) — 1st March 2024
(b) Class XI — 06th April 2024
3. Students will be Checked-In by their respective Housemasters (For Boys), Dean of Girls/Housemistresses (For
Girls).
4. Students must obtain a Clearance Slip from their respective Housemasters, Dean of Girls/Housemistresses for
permission to enter their respective Dormitories at the time of checking-in after having completed all the requisite
and essential formalities, which include clearance of Fees (no dues ), medical Clearance, etc.
Fee
5. The details of Fee to be deposited for the First Term (2024), has already been forwarded. The Fee for the First
Term must be deposited with/sent to the Accounts Branch on or before 30th January 2024(for Present Students)
After allowing a Grace Period of ten (10) days, a fine @ 10% on the Amount Due will automatically be imposed
and Debited to the Imprest Account of your ward if the fee is not deposited within the stipulated time frame.
6. Incase the parents do not receive the details of the Fee to be deposited for the First Term by 15 January 2024,
parents are requested and advised to kindly contact the Accounts Branch on Priority, on the accounts e- mail or

7. In disciplinary matters remittance of any fees does not guarantee regularisation of any Type of Admission.
8. FEE CONCESSIONS: All the parents are requested to kindly note that the FEE CONCESSION is only granted to
students whose parent are employed in government services i.e. Defence, Civil Services, Judiciary or any other
government service, the parent will be required to submit proper documents duly verified by their respective
departments in order to avail fee concession, Fee concession cannot be claimed as a right, granting fee concession
will be at the discretion of the College. Note - Fee concession is not granted in the year of admission.
9. All the parents whose wards are granted fee concession will be required to submit a fresh fee concession form duly
filled and signed for each academic session. Failure to do so will lead to forfeiture of Fee Concession.
FEE Concession will not be granted to parents who are self-employed, in private service, running their own
business or involved in agriculture.

Withdrawal of Ward
10. In case any parent who plans to withdraw their ward, the same must be communicated to the College latest by
15th January of the current year positively, failing which parents are liable to pay Full Fee.

Refusal of Admission
11. Admission can be refused to students whose fee has not been deposited by due date as indicated in Para 5 above.

Annual Medical Report


12. Parents are requested to submit an Annual Medical Report in respect of their ward (s) at the time of Check-in at
the start of the New Academic Session 2024.
13. The Annual Medical Reports that the parents submit at the time of Check-in should be ‘authenticated’ and
signed by a ‘Reputed, licensed and a Registered Medical Practitioner’.

Leave Rules
14. Leave Rules as laid down by the College will be strictly and diligently followed without any representations
whatsoever. Some important points to be borne in mind by parents are listed below.
(a) No special leave will be granted in the months of May, June, November and up to 5th December 2024.
(b) Students will only be checked-in or checked-out by their parents or the Guardians whose names have
been registered with the College.
(c) Leave for the Mid-Term Break (i.e. June) will only commence after the completion of all the Activities
and Founder’s Day Functions.
(d) No Student will be checked-in after 05:00 PM on rejoining after any kind of leave. Late-comers will
only be checked-in on the following day accompanied by their parents. Late reporting fine will be
imposed as well as forfeiture of the privilege for the next leave.
(e) Please also be informed that no student will be Checked-in/Checked-out on Sundays/Holidays.
(f) Any student reporting late at the start of the New Academic Session, any holiday, winter-break, mid-
term break, special leave, etc. for any reason whatsoever will be imposed a fine of Rs. 5000/- for each
day of absence.
(g) No leave will be granted to any student during the Unit Tests or Term Trial Exams. Therefore, students
appearing for Toffel/Sat, examinations should make the arrangements accordingly.
(h) Over-night leave will only be granted on days as specified in the Annual College Calendar- 2024.
(i) Forwarding Request for Leave through an e-mail should not be taken for granted or assumed that Leave
is sanctioned.

Check-in/Check-out
15. It will be ensured that Check-out/Check-in for or after any kind of leave will be registered with the Housemasters,
Dean of Girls/Housemistresses, House Master Horsman Wing, House on Duty (HOD), Lady on Duty (LOD), as is
Applicable to each case.
16. All Students, ‘irrespective of Class’ (repeat irrespective of Class) will be ‘Checked-in or Checked-out’ by
Parents or the authorised Guardians.

Special Instructions For Leave/Reporting Late


17. Parents are advised to kindly note that informing the College through any medium of communication, be it
through an email, or a letter should not be assumed as permission granted for any of the request that has been
made. Please also note— any request made on a telephone or a mobile will not be registered.

18. Text books for the next academic Term have been handed over to your ward. This has been done with the intention
of ensuring that your ward familiarizes herself/himself with the challenges of the academics of the next level.
(Text books are to be brought back at the time of re –joining in March 2024). [For Present Students]

Independent Travel
19. Keeping the risks and the insecurities involved and the incidents being reported every now and then as well as
keeping the well-being, security and safety of our wards in mind, we as the College management have decided to
implement the following precautionary measures:
(a) Students of Classes XI and below are not permitted to travel unescorted or independently during any
move; they must always travel escorted/accompanied by the parents or by authorized guardians only.
(b) No Girl student is permitted to travel unescorted or independently during any leave. They must always
be accompanied by their respective parents or only authorised guardians.
(c) Students of Classes XII ‘can only travel independently, once approval by the Principal has been granted.

For the Information of Parents – Travel Arrangements on Termination of Winter Break


20. The College will not be in a position to make any Travel Arrangements for your ward(s) from their Home town
to the College at the time of Re-opening for the New Term Commencing in March 2024. Kindly make a
special note of this.

Authorised Accessories
21. Students are not permitted to:
(a) Wear unauthorised articles of Clothing or Footwear, including scarfs, mufflers, sports shoes etc.
(b) Use/wear any item of jewellery other than the ones specifically prescribed for the girls, by the College.
(c) Sikh Students can wear a Kara with the approval of the House Master.
(d) Students of class X and above both boys and girls are allowed to wear wrist watches. No wrist watch
should cost more than Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand). Any Student found wearing an expensive
wrist watch, the same will be confiscated.
Girl Students.
22. Students are not permitted to:
(a) Wear, use any cosmetics or make-up with their College Uniform. Hence, parents are advised to ensure
they do not provide their ward(s) with any kind of cosmetics or make-up. If found the same will be
confiscated.
(b) Wear more than one small pair of earrings and that too on the lower part of the ear lobe.
(c) Wear bracelets, bangles, extra-earrings, necklaces, finger rings or any kind of jewellery with the uniform.
(d) Colour or dye their hair.
(e) Hair styles should be neat and presentable with no locks hanging over their faces. Hair pins and hair-bands
can be used for keeping their hair neat and tidy.

Clothing
23. Parents are advised:
(a) Not to replace Category A&B clothing from home as the same are being ordered for and arranged by the
College.
(b) Replacement of Category C clothing will be done by the parents. All articles should have the Students
Roll No stitched on them.
(c) To note all items of Category A&B clothing are catered for and arranged by the College, specially Grey
Trousers, College and Class Blazers, Grey and Blue Jerseys and White Shirts, etc. Any student found in
possession of the same which have been bought or procured from home will be rejected and returned.

24. Kindly ensure your wards carry adequate toiletry items for a month atleast, thereafter these will be arranged and
replenished by the College on demand every month.

Important Points for Parents to Note


25. Student are not authorised to keep any Cash, any Electronic Gadgets, which includes MP-3, IPOD, I-TOUCH
VCD, Mobile Phones, Sim Cards, Pen Drives, Electronic Gizmos or any ATM, Debit or Credit Cards.
Expensive Clothing, non regulation shoes, scarfs, jackets, mufflers, etc. if caught in possession of any the above,
the same will be confiscated.
26. In case any student is found to be in possession of any contraband articles such as cigarettes, drugs, alcohol,
intoxicants, addictives, etc or is found to be guilty of any form of substance abuse he/she will be liable to face
disciplinary action by the College, which will lead to explusion /withdrawal from the College.
27. Parents are advised to take strict cognizance of this and ensure none of the above items are provided to their wards.
28. Any student found in possession of any of the items listed above will be taken as Gross Violation of the Laid
down Rules and Regulations of the College, leading to Disciplinary Action being initiated against the defaulting
student. All such articles will also be confiscated.

Violation of Laid Down Rules and Regulations/Any Form of Indiscipline


29. Any student found breaching the Laid down Rules and Regulations of the college for any of the following
offences or indulging in any form of indiscipline, is liable to face corrective action being initiated against
him/her by the College Management:
(a) Cutting Bounds.
(b) Gross misbehaviour in the College Campus
(c) Use of unparliamentary and offensive language.
(d) Any damage to College Property.
(e) Any violation of laid down Rules and Norms of the College.
(f) Found/Caught using unfair Means/Cheating in UTs/TTs/any Exam.
(g) Use of any Contraband material or narcotics and drugs.
(h) Smoking
(j) Consuming Liquor
(k) Ragging
(l) Bullying/ Punishing/ Hitting Juniors/Intimidating Juniors.
(m) Possession of Electronic Gadgets.
(n) Any other offence or Violation of Rules as deemed appropriate by the ‘College Management.
(o) Any Students not having a proper hair cut or the hair is not combed properly or having unacceptable hair
styles.
(p) Repeated Violation of ‘Laid Down Norms’ Rules and Regulations of the College.
30. Depending on the gravity and serious nature of the offence, any student caught committing any of the above
offences will face suspension/withdrawal/expulsion from the College.

the other documents to be submitted at the time of check-in.
