OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to:
1. identify the rules used on the sentences.
2. give the importance of following the rules of the agreement between the subject and predicate.
3. construct sentences following the rules on the agreement between the subject and predicate wherein the
verb agrees with special nouns.
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
1. How essential is it to understand the rules on the agreement between the subject and predicate in our
life.

SESSION 1: THE VERB AGREES WITH SPECIAL NOUNS
INTRODUCTION
Activity #1: Review
 The teacher asks what they’ve discuss last meeting.
 Learners will answer through recitation.
 The teacher will ask the learners to give 1 rule.

Activity #2: Motivation


 The teacher will let the class play 4 pics 1 word.
 Students need to observe the pictures then answer it.
 The teacher will tell that the activity is related to their next topic.
 Students who can answer the items will be rewarded.
 This activity will last for 5 minutes.
INTERACTION
Activity #3: Presentation
 The teacher will present the new topic which is about the agreement between the subject and the
predicate wherein the verb agrees with special nouns based on the pictures used on the motivation.
Activity #4: Discussion
 The teacher will discuss the rules they need to follow in constructing sentences.
 The teacher will let the learners read the rules flashed on the screen.
 The teacher will explain and give examples for each rule for them to understand it well, and they can
create their own example.
 Learners will give their own examples of following the rules.
 The teacher will discuss every example the learners will give to see if the students need further
clarifications or further exercises.
 Tackle this lesson through PowerPoint presentations and traditional IMs.

 To sum up the discussion, the teacher will ask: What do you think is the significance of following the

 The teacher asks: Why is it important to follow these rules in communication.
Activity #7: Evaluation (1 whole sheet of paper)
 Construct 2 sentences in each rule.
SESSION 2:
INTRODUCTION
Activity #1: Review
 If the learner will answer it correctly he/she has a power to pick a name to be the second player but if not
he/she will remain standing in front.
INTERACTION:
Activity #3: Presentation
 The teacher asks what they’ve discuss last meeting.
 Learners will answer through recitation.
Activity #4: Discussion
 The teacher will give instructions for their activity.

 What’s the importance of knowing and understanding the rules on the agreement between the subject

INTEGRATION

 To sum up the discussion, the teacher will ask: What do you think is the significance of following the

 The teacher asks: Why is it important to know the rules in creating sentences?
Activity #7: Evaluation
 The teachers will divide the class into four.
 What they have to do is to identify what rules does the sentence the teacher will read.
 The answer will be written on the board.
 Whoever gets the correct answer first will win 1point. The team who gather a lot of points have
additional points.
Activity #8: Application
 The teacher will call students 1 by 1 to roll the dice.
 The numbers in the dice corresponds to the rules being discussed. What they have to do is to construct
sentence on those rule depends on what number they pick.
