STEWARDSHIP ... is what I do after I say I believe

What we await are new heavens and a new earth where, according to Gods promise, the justice of God will reside.. 2Peter 3:13 Advent is not a passive waiting, but an active preparation for a new heaven and new earth. Like John the Baptist, we must prepare the way of the Lord. In their pastoral letter on stewardship the U.S. Bishops emphasize that we are active coworkers in Gods creative plan..

THANK YOU We would like to thank our parishioner Steve Hall for his time and talent with building a number of items for our new church. The latest being the hymnal boards. Beautiful work Steve ! DISHES If you have brought dishes in for the number of bereavement meals we have had lately you can pick your dishes up in the Art & Environment room. RETIRED RELIGIOUS COLLECTION The Retirement Fund helps senior religious. As expenses continue to increase and economic difficulties tighten our income, we appreciate more and more the help of the Retirement Fund,, notes a woman religious. Your tax deductible donation to the Retirement Fund for Religious supports the day-today care of thousands of elderly sisters, brother and religious order priests. Please give generously. COPING WITH GRIEF St. Francis Xavier is offering a new ministry, Coping with Grief, for persons grieving the death of a spouse or a close loved one. An initial meeting will be held on Monday, December 12th from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. in the religious education building (TGIF room). This meeting will explore the needs of the grieving in order to plan for future support gatherings. We hope you will join us for conversation, coffee, and dessert. ( This group is being formed based on our interest from the parish survey that was recently done). NEW HYMNALS Our thanks to all who have donated toward the purchase of new hymnals. As of mid November, 286 hymnals have been dedicated. If anyone would still like to dedicate a hymnal, there are forms in the Art & Environment room, as well as side doors, to fill out and return to the office. If you have already made a dedication and have not picked up your hymnal you can find the books in the Art & Environment room.
