St. Francis Xavier is a Roman Catholic community in Mount Washington, Kentucky, established in 1846 to further Gods kingdom on earth. We are a welcoming community of faith serving the spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of our parishioners. We are dedicated to the celebration of the sacraments and the teachings of the church. Our goal is to meet these needs through various parish organizations and through community ministries. Reconciliation Saturday 4:00 pm until all are heard or upon request at anytime. Baptism Call parish office for registration information. Matrimony Contact Pastor at least six (6) months prior to anticipated date. Anointing of the Sick Anointing by request and special times. Please call the parish office.
When a weekday funeral is scheduled, 8:30 am or 6:00 pm Mass will not be held on that day.

DISHES If you have brought dishes in for the number of bereavement meals we have had lately you can pick your dishes up in the Art & Environment room. RETIRED RELIGIOUS COLLECTION The Retirement Fund helps senior religious. As expenses continue to increase and economic difficulties tighten our income, we appreciate more and more the help of the Retirement Fund,, notes a woman religious. Your tax deductible donation to the Retirement Fund for Religious supports the day-today care of thousands of elderly sisters, brother and religious order priests. Please give generously. COPING WITH GRIEF St. Francis Xavier is offering a new ministry, Coping with Grief, for persons grieving the death of a spouse or a close loved one. An initial meeting will be held on Monday, December 12th from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. in the religious education building (TGIF room). This meeting will explore the needs of the grieving in order to plan for future support gatherings. We hope you will join us for conversation, coffee, and dessert. ( This group is being formed based on our interest from the parish survey that was recently done). NEW HYMNALS Our thanks to all who have donated toward the purchase of new hymnals. As of mid November, 286 hymnals have been dedicated. If anyone would still like to dedicate a hymnal, there are forms in the Art & Environment room, as well as side doors, to fill out and return to the office. If you have already made a dedication and have not picked up your hymnal you can find the books in the Art & Environment room. THE FORT KNOX CURSILLISTAS The Fort Knox Cursillistas are sponsoring the Louisville Cursillo Annual Christmas Party. It will be held on Wed, 14 Dec at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at St. Bridget's Community Center in Vine Grove, Ky. We invite all Cursillistas, friends and future candidates to the celebration. The meat and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. We are planning some special events in honor of Christ's birthday. Please plan on joining us.
