A Introduction

Upon receipt of a Seafolly Design brief, the process for ensuring quality in production are as
follows:
Suppliers should test their base raw materials at one of the Seafolly-approved third-party
laboratories.
During development, Suppliers should collaborate with the Seafolly Quality Team to review
critical aspects such as trims, appliques, embellishments, fabric handle, and appearance.
Suppliers should provide the quality test details and contrast details when submitting to 3rd-
party test laboratories. Recommendations will then be made if any additional testing is
required and/or alternative construction / applications used.
At the testing stage, focus on the physical properties of the materials.
When submitting materials for testing, quote the Seafolly performance code to ensure
adherence to correct procedures.
Test samples represent production quality and undergo the same process route as the intended
bulk order, regardless of colorway. But yardage prints or garment wash/dye styles, samples
must replicate the intended print coverage or wash conditions.
The number of test samples needs to be prepared by consulting with the 3rd-party test
laboratory.
For example:
If Seafolly order is a dyed textile, the sample submitted for testing should be a dyed textile of
same garment.
Suppliers should contact details as well as full fabric specifications details when submitting to the
3rd-party Textile Testing laboratory.

Suppliers must submit a hard copy of the Test Report and a signed 'Fabric Specifications'
Declaration Form (TQM-TEX-01) alongside two A4-sized fabric swatches to the Seafolly
Merchandise/Fabric Technologist team.
It is recommended that Suppliers retain an approved fabric swatch and tested specimens for
reference in other similar Seafolly styles, provided the fabric is from the same supplier/mill
with consistent construction and finish.
While 3rd -party validation of fabric specifications is not mandatory, the provided information
must be accurate. Seafolly conducts random audits; non-compliance may result in suppliers
testing costs and product recall.
The fabric's handle and appearance will be reviewed by the Seafolly Merchant, Merchandise
Team, Design Stylist, or Textile Sourcing specialist.
The fabric used in approval should match that in the garment approval stage, ensuring
consistent performance parameters like Stretch & Recovery.
Suppliers will be notified by email if the raw material meets Seafolly requirements. So,
suppliers should notice that the appearance, handle, and performance of the submission would
serve as the standard reference for evaluating bulk fabric production.
Durability wash test will be requested via the SGS or write into
the tech pack. The submitted garment/fabric are made up from
fabric & componentry representative of the bulk production.
The embellishments/trims will be attached using the same
application method intended in production.
The wash performance of the fabric / colour / appearance /
emb. / trims (including 3D applique & Button) will be
evaluated, and if required alternative attachment methods
requested to be trialled or a substitute embellishment proposed.
Any changes to the fabric appearance or handle will be noted.
For high risk styles, TP16.2 durability wash test can also be
requested at the customer contract sampling stage. The test

D Chemical Policy
At Seafolly, we are committed to ensuring the safety and environmental sustainability of our
products. We strictly prohibit the use of harmful chemicals in our production processes, including
heavy metals, phthalates, organic solvents, and certain azo dyes. We maintain and regularly update
a Restricted Substances List (RSL) that all suppliers must adhere to. Suppliers are required to
provide detailed lists of chemicals used and third-party test reports to ensure compliance with our
chemical policy. Suppliers validate that a specific product complies by submitting either valid test
reports or certificates (the European Community Regulation Document REACH 1907/2006 Annex
XVII & Oeko-Tex Standard 100 guidelines,TQM-SS-03 Chemical Policy).
The onus lies with the suppliers to validate the credibility of test reports provided by
third-party textile testing services, guaranteeing that the samples tested are true
representations of the bulk materials to be utilized in the production of garments for
Seafolly. In instances where Seafolly has solicited testing reports, holds the prerogative to
directly secure copies of the original reports from the respective accredited laboratory.
F1 Validation Requirements
Transparency of supply chain should be provided to supply product with any of the following
claims. This must include all transaction documentation at each stage of the production process.
▪ Organic’ cotton claim the suppliers must complete the questionnaire- SOP 01 - Organic Textile
Product requirements
▪ recycled (Cotton or polyester) the suppliers must complete the questionnaire- SOP 02 -
Recycled Content requirements

F2 Trademarks,Labels
To supply product with any license, brand or trademark, the supplier must provide documentary
evidence that the product does contain or has been treated with that product. e.g. Lycra®,
Tencel®, GRS®, RC®.
The requirements are categorized by the fabric type and garment end-use.
To ensure the correct testing item is selected by 3rd -party laboratory, Supplier would fill in
correct information on the chart when submitting sample to 3rd party laboratory for testing.
