MICRO-

VOLUNTEERING
July-August 2024

In a bold and innovative move to raise awareness and drive action

towards ensuring every child's right to a safe environment, Child Rights
and You (CRY), a leading non-governmental organization, had launched a
dynamic micro-volunteering campaign. Spanning four weeks from the
15th of July to the 15th of August 2024, this initiative aims to engage
individuals from all walks of life in small yet impactful activities that
collectively contribute to CRY's vision of a happy, healthy and creative
child whose rights are protected and honoured in society.

There will be two main activities in the micro-volunteering program:

Activity 1: Survey Conducting

Understanding the specific needs and challenges faced by children
in different communities is essential for creating effective interventions.
To facilitate this, volunteers will conduct surveys to gather data on how
climate change has played a role in changing the lives of children and how
aware today's generation is about their rights, and the measures
governments have taken to mitigate environmental harm. The collected
data will be used to tailor CRY’s advocacy programs to address the most
pressing issues.

Activity 2: Fundraising
Volunteers will raise funds through our Ketto fundraiser and CRY was
successful in raising ₹ 2,29,693 (and still rising) through this micro-
volunteering campaign previously. The funds raised will go directly
towards supporting the #PooriPadhaiDeshKiBhalai campaign which
addresses the issues of girl child education and works towards raising
awareness about the importance of universal education.

For those interested in making a difference, CRY’s micro-volunteering

campaign offered an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause. By
coming together and taking small steps, we take steps to build a world
where every child has the opportunity to grow up in an empowering
environment.
