Standard of Operation On Motor Cutter Suction Dredger

1. Switch On 5 motor pump (5 seconds interval after one button)

- Cooling Pump button → Cooling fan →Forced Draft Fan → Hydraulic Cooling fan →
Exhaust Fan
2. Starting Hydraulic motor
- Switch On button Hydraulic Motor
- Settings: adjusting the motor speed to 1300 rpm
3. Open shaker and stopper of the ladder manually (inform the crew deck to handle it)
- Setting the ladder down until the dredger pump is submerged in the water
4. After the Dredger Pump is already submerged in the water, check the hydraulic system
whether is functioning well
- Left/Right Anchor Winch, Left/Right Swing Winch, Swing Winch Leakage, Ladder Hoist,
Left/Right Spud up, Left/Right Spud down
5. After the checking process and confirm the conditions of the Hydraulic System is functioning
well and in correct position, Inform the Booster Pump (BP) Station and Palong Station to get
ready.
6. After BP and Palong Station ready, give instructions to the deckhand to discharge the Relief
Valve to control the pressure of the system and inform BP to discharge the Relief Valve
7. The captain will switch on the Shaft Seal Water Pump and start the Dredger Pump Motor.
- Increase the Dredger Pump Motor each level from 1 to 10 with the interval 5-10 second
- Typically, the motor speed of CSD Dredger Pump is (1100 rpm) While Booster Pump
motor speed is (1000 rpm)
8. After checking the water sucking into the Dredger Pump and flow to the BP station, order
the deckhand to close the Relief valve of CSD
9. Move the ladder down until it touches the bottom, or until it reaches the maximum depth
and start dredging with the perfect coordination based on the maps at CSD monitor

Standard of Operation off Motor (5 seconds interval after one button)

1. Setting the Ladder up 3-4 m

2. Start flushing the water
3. Contact Palong Station if only water reached at Palong
4. Inform Booster Pump (BP) to slow down the motor speed (rpm), at the same time the Cutter
Suction Dredger also will slow down the speed of Dredger Pump (rpm).
5. Switch off the Dredger Pump and after that switch off the Shaft Seal Water Pump
6. Setting the Ladder up until its minimum
7. Asked the deckhand to tie the ladder with shaker and stopper ladder
8. Release the ladder as the shaker and stopper already install with the ladder
9. Check the conditions of Dredger Pump
- Cutter, condition pipe, bolt and nut foundation and main bearing
10. Slow down the speed of Hydraulic Motor and switch off the Hydraulic Pimp
11. Switch off the 5-motor pump (5 seconds interval after one button)
- Cooling Pump button → Cooling fan →Forced Draft Fan → Hydraulic Cooling fan →
