INTRODUCTION.
THEME: SOIL
TOPIC: SOIL EROSION AND CONSERVATION, CAUSES,
EFFECTS AND PREVENTION.
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:
To remove glass bottles that are dumped around the
school for recycling to make table flowers which will
prevent the soil in that spot from further infertility.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To recycle dumped bottles
2. To prevent more infertility in the spots were the
bottles were picked
3. To make table flowers.
JUSTIFICATION:
Many wine and soda glass bottles are used but they are not collected
for reuse, they are dumped in the soil around the rubbish pit and other
parts of the school farm, where they fall they prevent water and air
infiltration hindering microorganisms which decompose plant and
animal remains from doing their work with time this causes infertility in
that spot.
If the bottles are broken when it rains they collect water which serves
as breeding grounds for mosquitoes which cause malaria or even hurt
farmers when working in the garden
This project is aimed at recycling the used wine and soda glass bottles
to make table flowers for decoration
.
MATERIALS:
1. Threads
2. Glue
3. Ceramics
4. Glass bottles
PROCEDURE:
1. Threads were rolled around the bottle.
2. The ceramics were cut and also rolled with the thread.
3. The ball-like flowers were knitted and using glue the were
attached on to the glass bottles

ANALYSIS
The flower vessels were used for decoration
in one of the school offices and all the
students over the assembly were shown the
product, the places in the farm where the
bottles were picked at first they were bear
with no grass, now there is grass an
indication of improvement in fertility.
Challenges faced
Bottles are fragile they are prone to
breaking, this was guarded against by
holding them with extra care
CONCLUSION
The project was fairly done were only able
to hand in two flower vessels out of four
