FAULT DIAGNOSIS

COUNTER SHAFT AND PLANETARY TRANSMISSION. www.senati.edu.pe

Transmission system:
It allows the transfer of movement and force from the engine to the wheels (loader) or chains (tractor)
for their respective movement on the
ground.

www.senati.edu.pe Specialist Instructor Percy Cruz Carbajal (S SENATI

Transmission system:

Through reductions, the transmission can increase

the torque provided by the engine in order to
overcome the resistance that the machine has
(weight of the machine, terrain, loads, etc.).
Speed reduction:
Any machine whose movement is generated by a
motor (whether electric, explosion or other) requires
that the speed of said motor be adapted to the speed
necessary for the proper functioning of the machine. In
addition to this speed adaptation, other factors must be
considered such as the mechanical power to be
transmitted, thermal power, and mechanical
performance (static and dynamic).

COUNTER SHAFT TYPE TRANSMISSION

The transmission of this machine consists of a mesh
Countershaft type transmission:
counter-rotating mechanism, constant gear type and disc
clutches offering "four forward speeds and 4 reverse
speeds."
The transmission selects one direction of rotation and 1 gear
speed by hydraulically adjusting the counter-rotation
mechanism, constant gear and 2 of 6 disc clutches by
operation of the ECMV.
The transmission transmits the force received by the input
shaft of the transmission to the output shaft after selecting
one of the speeds between 1st and 4th, both in forward or
reverse movement. In this case, the gear speed change is
done by the forward (F) and reverse (R) clutches plus
combinations of the 4 speed clutches.

PLANETARY TYPE TRANSMISSION

www.senati.edu.pe Specialist Instructor Percy Cruz Carbajal (S SENATI

PLANETARY TYPE TRANSMISSION:
The transmission uses the combination of a planetary gear system and disc clutches to shift gears in “3 speeds for
forward and 3 speeds for reverse.”
q The transmission selects a single direction of rotation and a single shift speed by hydraulically adjusting the planetary
gear mechanism and two of the 5 disc clutches
through the use of the electronically controlled
modulating valve "ECMV".
q The transmission transfers the force received
by the input shaft to the transmission to the
output shaft, while changing the speed gears
(forward 1a. to 3rd gear, or reverse 1st
gear. to 3rd.) in any combination of forward or
reverse clutches and 3-speed clutches.
