EDWARD DE BONO'S SIX HATS TECHNIQUE

You have two central purposes:

The first is to simplify thought, allowing the thinker to try one thing after
another; instead of taking charge of emotions, logic, information, hope and
creativity at the same time.

The second purpose is to allow for variation in thinking.

The great value of hats is that they provide thinking roles.

White hat thinking : White indicates neutrality, this thinking is neutral and
objective when presenting information.

Red hat thinking : This type of thinking makes feelings visible, for example
common emotions such as fear, disgust, suspicion, and on the other hand
complex judgments such as hunches, intuitions, sensations.
Black hat thinking: Points out what is wrong, incorrect, erroneous, risks and
dangers, specifically deals with a negative judgment.

HATS

Yellow hat thinking: Deals with positive evaluation, manifests well-

founded optimism. From this type of thinking, concrete proposals and
suggestions arise, it is responsible for making things
happen. Your goal is efficiency.

Green hat thinking: This is creative thinking, the search

for alternatives is a fundamental aspect of this hat's
thinking, it goes beyond what is known, the obvious, it
seeks to advance from an idea to reach a new one.

Blue hat thinking: It is the hat of control, it organizes the

thinking necessary to investigate the topic, it is like the
conductor of an orchestra, it is responsible for the
synthesis, the global vision and the conclusions, it
monitors and ensures respect for the rules. , apply discipline.

EVIDENCE OF LEARNING - 08
Together with his team, he redesigns the dustpan so that Rita has a more satisfactory experience every time she uses
it.
Rita Case:
“Rita is a student whose task is to sweep her house every day, to do so she uses a bristle broom and a plastic dustpan. The latter comes
off every time you use it, and you have to bend down because it is very small for its size. The base gets dirty constantly and he has to
wash it and he doesn't have a place to store it, since his house is small.”

Apply the SCAMPER technique and present the sketch made freehand and point out the seven verbs you applied.
Then, transfer your sketch to ScribbleDiffusion to design it. Finally , give the new dustpan an original name.

The team coordinator uploads the Sketch and Scamper to Blackboard. It should be noted that you
must enter the surnames and first names of the students who participated (alphabetical order) in
the teamwork rubric .

You have 60 minutes to complete the activity.

EXTENSION WORK - IMPORTANT

For session 9, each student must bring a problem that is related to objects that
cause discomfort or dissatisfaction to a family member with whom they live.

❑ The problem must refer to domestic and everyday situations (cleaning, pets,
cooking, invasive animals, daily shopping, etc.).
❑ Preferably the problem should be related to (concrete) objects, avoiding
problems linked to abstract solutions.
❑ Financial problems, physical or mental health (illnesses, anxiety problems,
depression, addictions, habits or behaviors) should not be considered.
