My name is Alex Roberto Taborda Betancur and I was born on November 2, 1988 in

the department of Caldas in the municipality of Riosucio, I am the first son of three
brothers, my family is in Riosucio Caldas, which is made up of my mother María Roció
Betancur was a nursing pensioner, my two sisters Vanesa Taborda Betancur who is a
dentist and Daniela Juliana Taborda Betancur a systems engineer, my father Luis
Norberto Taborda died in 2000.
Graduated from the National University of Colombia Manizales Campus as an electrical
engineer and since 2007 I have lived in the city of Cali, Valle del Cauca.
Before graduating from university, I had a job offer at the Laboratorio Tecno Electric
company in the city of Cali. I worked for a year as a production assistant in the
engineering department. I managed to streamline the systematization of procedures
applicable to diagnostic and maintenance processes. of rotating electric machines,
allowing us to know the availability of materials in real time. With the expectation of
finding a job more in line with my profile as an electrical engineer than as an assistant, I
started working at the company Igen Energética, where I joined as an electrical designer
engineer, making electrical plans, visiting medium and low voltage constructions and
learning electrical technical standards. Due to my performance in the company and
postgraduate studies as a project management specialist, I am the director of the
electrical design department and currently direct the execution of the company's
projects.
My short-term expectation is to join a company where I can show my skills and
knowledge acquired in my work career, obtaining new knowledge for a more complete
professional growth. My medium-term expectation is to do a virtual master's degree
according to my professional profile and have solid job stability. With the knowledge
acquired and constant professional training, the long-term expectation is to play an
increasingly important role in a company like Afina.
I want to belong to the Afina company of the EPM group, because it is one of the most
representative in the country, allowing for professional growth and that is why I would
love to be part of it, it is vacant, it will be the opportunity to gain experience,
demonstrate my knowledge of the electrical sector and like every electrical engineer
aspires to work in a company like this.
